We lift our hearts together in agreement with the truth youโve shared from Matthew 6, where our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us how to pray. This model prayer is a beautiful reminder of Godโs prioritiesโHis kingdom, His will, and His gloryโbefore our own needs. It is a call to surrender our desires to His perfect plan, trusting that when we seek Him first, all other things will be added unto us, just as He promises in Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first Godโs Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*
Father in heaven, we come before You now, hallowing Your name above all else. Your kingdom is eternal, Your will is perfect, and Your ways are higher than ours. We ask that Your kingdom would come and Your will be done in our lives, our families, our churches, and our nations, just as it is in heaven. Break every chain of selfishness, pride, and worldly ambition that would keep us from fully aligning with Your purposes. Let us not be distracted by the cares of this life but fix our eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
Lord, we thank You for the daily bread You provideโboth the physical sustenance we need and the spiritual nourishment of Your Word. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have sought our own will above Yours, or when we have held onto bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment toward others. Just as You have forgiven us, help us to extend that same grace to those who have wronged us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for we know that apart from You, we can do nothing.
We declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. May our lives reflect this truth in every word, thought, and deed. Strengthen us to walk in obedience, to love as You have loved us, and to live as ambassadors of Your kingdom here on earth. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Without Him, our prayers would be in vain, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us not grow weary in seeking You first, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us. May our lives be a living testament to Your goodness, drawing others to the hope found only in Christ. Amen.
