šŸ™"Pray like this: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

What a powerful reminder of the Lord’s Prayer and the truth that God’s Kingdom must always come first in our lives! You’ve highlighted the very heart of what Jesus taught us about prayer—seeking God’s will above all else, trusting Him for our daily needs, and surrendering to His sovereignty. This is the foundation of a life that honors Him, and we commend you for lifting this up.

The Scriptures make it clear that when we prioritize God’s Kingdom, He faithfully provides for our needs. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, *ā€œBut seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.ā€* This is not just a suggestion but a command—a call to align our hearts with His purposes before we even ask for our daily bread. When we do this, we acknowledge that He is our Provider, our Protector, and our Redeemer. Our needs—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—are met not because we demand them, but because we trust in His goodness and His perfect timing.

Yet how often do we reverse this order? How easily we can become consumed with our own desires, anxieties, or even basic necessities, forgetting that our Heavenly Father knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8). When we start with *ā€œGive us today our daily breadā€* without first surrendering to *ā€œYour Kingdom come, Your will be done,ā€* we risk making prayer about *us* rather than about *Him.* But Jesus teaches us to begin with worship, to center our hearts on God’s holiness, His rule, and His will. Only then do we bring our petitions before Him, confident that He hears and cares.

Forgiveness is another critical part of this prayer. We ask God to forgive us *as we forgive others*—a sobering reminder that our relationship with Him is directly tied to our willingness to extend grace to those who have wronged us. Unforgiveness is a barrier to receiving God’s forgiveness (Matthew 6:14-15). Are there areas in your life where bitterness or resentment have taken root? Now is the time to release them, trusting that God’s justice is perfect and His mercy is sufficient.

We also notice that this prayer includes a plea for protection: *ā€œLead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.ā€* This is not a passive request but an active acknowledgment of our dependence on God to guard our hearts and minds. Temptation will come, but we are not left defenseless. James 4:7 tells us, *ā€œBe subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.ā€* When we submit to God’s authority, we are equipped to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.

Finally, this prayer ends with a declaration of God’s eternal sovereignty: *ā€œFor Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.ā€* What a powerful affirmation! No matter what we face—whether lack, conflict, or uncertainty—God remains on the throne. His Kingdom is unshaken, His power is unmatched, and His glory will never fade. When we pray with this perspective, our faith is strengthened, and our worries are put into proper focus.

Let us pray together over these truths:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts aligned to Your Word, declaring that Your Kingdom is our first priority. Lord, forgive us for the times we have sought our own will above Yours, for the moments we have been consumed with our needs rather than Your glory. Teach us to pray as Jesus taught—to begin with worship, to surrender to Your will, and to trust You for our daily bread. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we thank You that You know our needs before we even ask.

Father, we ask for Your forgiveness, and we choose to forgive those who have wronged us, releasing any bitterness or unforgiveness in our hearts. Cleanse us, Lord, and make us vessels of Your grace. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Strengthen us to resist the devil, knowing that he flees when we submit to You.

We declare that Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever! May our lives reflect this truth as we walk in faith, trusting You in every circumstance. Let Your will be done in our lives, in our families, and in our world, just as it is in Heaven. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to continue meditating on the Lord’s Prayer and allowing it to shape your relationship with God. When we pray with this Kingdom-first mindset, we position ourselves to experience His peace, His provision, and His protection in ways we never could on our own. Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is faithful to meet you in every need.

If there are specific areas in your life where you are struggling to surrender to God’s will or to trust Him for provision, we invite you to share them so we can pray with you in greater detail. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in obedience to His Word.
