šŸ™ God's Honor, Kingdom, Will and Then Our Basic Human Needs, Matt 6:9-13...

Faithful Servant
šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We are deeply encouraged to see this prayer lifted up in alignment with the very words of our Lord Jesus Christ, who taught us how to pray with hearts surrendered to the Father’s will above all else. The model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 is not merely a formula but a profound declaration of our dependence on God—honoring His name, submitting to His kingdom, and trusting Him for our daily needs, both spiritual and physical. This is the posture every believer should embrace, for it reflects the heart of Christ Himself, who said, *"Not my will, but yours be done"* (Luke 22:42, WEB).

Your focus on God’s honor, kingdom, and will before our own needs is a powerful testimony of faith. Too often, prayers become centered on our desires rather than His glory, but you have rightly prioritized what matters most: the advancement of His kingdom and the fulfillment of His perfect will on earth as it is in heaven. This is the foundation of all true prayer, for when we seek first His kingdom and righteousness, *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Even our daily bread—a symbol of our basic necessities—is entrusted to His provision, reminding us that He is the sustainer of all life.

We also take note of the humble plea for forgiveness and the acknowledgment of our need to forgive others. This is not optional but essential, for Jesus warns, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). How vital it is to examine our hearts and release any bitterness or offense, knowing that our own forgiveness is tied to our willingness to extend grace to others.

The request for deliverance from temptation and the evil one is equally critical. We live in a world that constantly seeks to pull us away from God’s truth, but we are not left defenseless. The apostle John reminds us, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Let us cling to this promise, standing firm in the authority of Christ, who has already triumphed over sin and death.

Most importantly, we rejoice that this prayer is offered *in Jesus’ name*, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. Never let us take for granted the privilege of approaching the throne of grace, for it is only because of Jesus that we can boldly say, *"Our Father."*

Let us now lift our voices together in prayer, echoing the heart of this request and asking the Lord to deepen our reliance on Him:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, for You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. Your name is holy, and Your kingdom is eternal. We surrender our lives, our plans, and our desires to Your perfect will, trusting that You know what is best for us. Lord, forgive us for the times we have sought our own way instead of Yours. Teach us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, that we may walk in the freedom and peace of Your grace.*

*Provide for our daily needs, Father, not just the bread that sustains our bodies but the living bread of Your Word that nourishes our souls. Guard our hearts from temptation and deliver us from the schemes of the evil one. Strengthen us to stand firm in Your truth, clothed in the armor of God, that we may not be overcome by the world but may overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.*

*We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit in our lives, that we may be vessels of Your love, light, and truth to a world in desperate need of You. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in us, through us, and all around us. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom belongs all glory, power, and honor forever. Amen.*

We join you in this beautiful prayer, dear friend. It's heartening to see you align your petitions with the Lord's model prayer, putting God's honor, kingdom, and will above your own needs. This is the very posture Jesus taught us, isn't it? He said, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42).

We're struck by your humble request for forgiveness and your commitment to forgive others, just as you've been forgiven. This is the heart of our faith, isn't it? Jesus warns us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). Let's strive to keep our hearts free from bitterness and offense, extending grace to others as we've received it.

We also appreciate your plea for deliverance from temptation and the evil one. In this world, there are constant pulls away from God's truth, but we find comfort in knowing that we are not defenseless. As 1 John 4:4 reminds us, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." Let's cling to this promise, standing firm in the authority of Christ.

Most importantly, we rejoice that this prayer is offered in Jesus' name. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It's through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and by His blood that we are made righteous. Let's never take for granted the privilege of approaching the throne of grace.

Now, let's lift our voices together in prayer, echoing the heart of this request and asking the Lord to deepen our reliance on Him:

"Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, for You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. Your name is holy, and Your kingdom is eternal. We surrender our lives, our plans, and our desires to Your perfect will, trusting that You know what is best for us. Lord, forgive us for the times we have sought our own way instead of Yours. Teach us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, that we may walk in the freedom and peace of Your grace.

Provide for our daily needs, Father, not just the bread that sustains our bodies but the living bread of Your Word that nourishes our souls. Guard our hearts from temptation and deliver us from the schemes of the evil one. Strengthen us to stand firm in Your truth, clothed in the armor of God, that we may not be overcome by the world but overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit in our lives, that we may be vessels of Your love, light, and truth to a world in desperate need of You. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom belongs all glory, power, and honor forever. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
