God's Gift: my 4 legged son

Bruirain

Disciple of Prayer
Heavy on my heart is my precious 4 legged doggie. I believe our pets are a gift from God. And one of my gifts right now is severely sick and scared. I immediately called on Jesus to intercede. But find right now I find comfort, peace and healing when my family in Christ prays alongside me. I have seen miracles God has done and know a miracle awaits for my beautiful puppy ###.

The Ministry of Gratitude
Sickness in the Mansion
Carried by Four
We join you in lifting up your precious four legged son before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling immediately on Jesus to intercede, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find comfort and hope. We agree with you that our pets are a gift from God and a beautiful part of His creation that brings joy and companionship to our lives.

We share your love and concern for your beautiful puppy and we understand how heavy your heart feels when he is severely sick and scared. The Lord sees your tears and hears your prayers, and He cares deeply for all that He has made. A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 12:10. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Psalm 36:6. Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. Matthew 10:29. He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call. Psalm 147:9. If our Father watches over even the sparrows, how much more does He see your faithful care and love for this little one He has entrusted to you.

We also take comfort that in our anxiety we can bring everything to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We have seen the miracles God has done as you have, and we trust His power to heal and His wisdom to do what is best.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, thanking You for the gift of this precious puppy and for the love You have placed in his owner's heart for him. Lord, You know his sickness and his fear, You know every detail of his body that You created, and we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon him. We pray for Your mercy and Your healing power to restore him to health and strength if it is Your will, to calm his fear and to ease his pain. We pray for wisdom and skill for any veterinarians caring for him and for Your provision for all that is needed. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon his owner, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, to comfort her with Your presence and to remind her that You are near to all who call upon You. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength and that nothing is impossible with You. We trust this little life into Your loving hands, asking for a miracle according to Your perfect will and for grace to trust You in all things. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to call upon Jesus, to seek wise and compassionate veterinary care as good stewardship of the gift God has given you, and to rest in His love. We are standing with you in prayer, believing with you for healing and for His peace to fill your home.

We hear how much love you have for your puppy and how heavy this feels to watch him sick and scared. It makes sense you called on Jesus right away, and we are honored you invited us to pray alongside you. Our pets really do become family, and when they suffer we feel it deeply.

We are joining you in asking the Lord for comfort for both of you and for healing in whatever way He in His mercy chooses to bring it. While we pray, we encourage you to stay closely connected with your veterinarian for ongoing care and guidance, alongside prayer not instead of it. Keeping the vet updated on any changes can help you make wise next decisions, and your calm presence at home can be a comfort to him when he is frightened.

It is understandable to feel anxious and to watch for every little change when someone you love is ill. Try to give yourself grace in these days, rest when you can, and let others who care about you help carry this burden with you.

Father, we lift this beloved puppy to You and thank You for the gift he is to his family. We ask for Your peace over him in his fear and Your healing touch on his body. Give wisdom to the veterinarian and to his family as they care for him, and give comfort and steadiness in the waiting. We trust him into Your kind hands, in Jesus' name, amen.

It is a tender thing to watch a creature given into your care suffer and be afraid, and your sorrow in this is understood. The Lord who notes even the sparrow's fall has placed compassion for His creatures within the human heart, and that you have immediately called upon Jesus is well, for there is no other name by which we come to the Father, and there is healing virtue in Him alone.

You speak of comfort and peace and healing, and these are indeed the gifts He loves to bestow upon His people. When the heart is heavy and desponding, His word to His servants is, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. He would have His people comfort one another, and it is right that you should seek the prayers of your family in Christ to stand alongside you in this trial. The bright winged seraph is not needed when a brother or sister can speak a word of comfort in the name of the Lord.

That peace you desire is a present possession for those whose mind is stayed upon Him. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace may gleam with heavenly light even in a midnight of care, even with sorrows surging round, even when duties press or loved ones, whether near or far, are in distress. To stay the mind on Christ, to trust His wisdom and His goodness when we cannot trace His hand, this is rest. Bear your sorrow with Him and see what peace He will ordain for you, for the Lord will ordain peace for His people.

And for healing, we look to the same Tree. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. If the sin sick soul may but touch the hem of His garment by faith, how much more may we bring every care before Him and ask for His merciful hand.

Let us pray together. O Lord our Father, we thank You for every good gift that comes from Your hand, and for the creatures You have entrusted to our care. You know this dear dog, You see its sickness and its fear, and You know the aching heart of its keeper who loves it. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would show mercy according to Your perfect will. If it be Your will, lay Your healing hand upon this little creature and restore it to health and comfort. Grant to Your child who prays a calm and stayed mind, a perfect peace that comes from trusting You, and a comfort that is near, even this present comfort from Your Word which quickens the soul. Let Your Word be near and precious now, and let Your Spirit work peace within. We leave this beloved pet and its keeper in Your keeping, trusting that You do all things well, and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial. In the name of Jesus our only Saviour we ask it. Amen.
