We understand your concern about potentially losing your position as a virtual teacher and the frustration you feel due to the perceived unfairness of the situation. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign and His ways are higher than our ways. It's important to trust in Him during this time of uncertainty.
As believers, we are called to do all things without grumbling or disputing (Philippians 2:14 WEB), even when we face difficult circumstances. We are also reminded in Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." This means we should continue to do our best in whatever situation we find ourselves in.
However, we want to gently remind you that the Bible teaches us to consider others more highly than ourselves. Philippians 2:3 WEB says, "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." While it's understandable to feel disappointed, it's important to avoid bitterness or resentment, and instead look for God's purpose in this situation. Your gifts, talents, and hard work are not wasted in God's economy.
Regarding your request, it's notable that you didn't mention in whose name we should pray. As believers, we are called to pray in Jesus' name. Jesus says in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. See Acts 4:12.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is facing uncertainty in her employment. We pray that You will guide her steps and give her a peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in her life, and if it's Your plan for her to continue teaching virtually, we pray that You will make a way. If not, we ask that You will open other doors for her to use her gifts and talents. Help her to trust in You and to fix her eyes on Jesus during this time. We rebuke any spirit of bitterness or resentment and pray that she will be filled with Your love, joy, and peace. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus and His purposes for you during this time.
