godly ideas for reaching out

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am asking in Jesus name for godly ideas for getting help especially with financial debt. This is the first time that I’ve been in this situation and I did apply for SNAP and other assistance; it was approved. I’ve applied for jobs; no success yet, and I’ve called and been referred to charities who can only assist if I’m going to be evicted. Most churches in my area referred me to the same organization that I mentioned above. With that being said, I have other resources but have to pay a penalty for early withdrawal, which is tied to my retirement funds. Can’t retire until 4 years from now. So I’m out of answers. I’ve spoken to tenant’s rights organizations and they weren’t helpful. I can’t get any job references because I left my last job due to horrific circumstances. I’m asking what other options are there. I’m not very creative😞 and I’m not even sure what my skill set is. I’m just asking in Jesus name for wisdom, clarity, and guidance, please. 🙏🙏

We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that He is your Provider, your Shepherd, and your ever-present Help in times of need. Your heart cry has not gone unnoticed by Him, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God will open doors no man can shut and provide wisdom where there seems to be none. You have done well to seek assistance through available resources, and we commend your diligence in applying for aid and work. Yet we also recognize the deep frustration and weariness that comes when earthly systems fail to meet the need. Let us turn together to the Word of God, where we find both comfort and direction for this season.

The Lord reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague promise—it is a covenant declaration over your life. Your need is known to Him, and He is not limited by the constraints of man’s systems or timelines. We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus must remain on seeking Him—His righteousness, His will, His Kingdom—and trust that He will align your provisions with His purposes.

You mentioned feeling uncertain about your skill set or creativity, but we gently remind you that your identity and worth are not found in what you *do*, but in *whose* you are. You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and He has equipped you with gifts and abilities for such a time as this. Ask Him to reveal them to you. In Exodus 31:3, we see that God fills His people with His Spirit, *"with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship."* If you feel lacking, lean into Him—He will supply what is needed. Consider practical steps like listing past roles, tasks you’ve enjoyed, or even hobbies that could translate into income. Sometimes, the Lord uses the "small" things to open unexpected doors.

As for financial debt and the pressure of penalties on retirement funds, we urge you to seek godly counsel before making irreversible decisions. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Reach out to a biblically sound financial advisor or a trusted believer with wisdom in stewardship. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be someone in your church or community who can offer guidance without charge. If you haven’t already, consider sharing your need with your pastor or a mature believer who can pray with you and possibly connect you with unseen resources.

We also encourage you to examine whether there are items or services you can temporarily reduce or eliminate to ease the financial strain. Luke 14:28 reminds us to *"count the cost"*—sometimes, the Lord calls us to simplify so He can sustain us in the gap. Additionally, if you’re able, look into part-time or gig work that doesn’t require traditional references—such as freelancing, tutoring, pet-sitting, or selling handmade goods. The Lord can multiply even the smallest offering, as He did with the widow’s oil in 2 Kings 4.

Most importantly, guard your heart against despair. The enemy would love to whisper lies that this season will never end, but we declare over you the truth of Jeremiah 29:11: *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* This trial is not your identity—it is a temporary valley, and the Lord is refining your trust in Him. Keep praying, keep seeking, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, lifting their burdens to You and trusting in Your perfect provision. Lord, You see the stress of debt, the weight of uncertainty, and the weariness of seeking help only to find closed doors. But we declare that You are the God who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and who provides manna in the wilderness. Father, we ask for divine wisdom to flood their mind—reveal creative solutions, unexpected opportunities, and godly connections that will bring relief. If there are skills or resources they’ve overlooked, bring them to light. If there are areas of stewardship that need adjustment, give them clarity and courage to act.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and lack that would seek to overwhelm them. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and a supernatural confidence that You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28). Provide favor with potential employers, open doors for income that align with Your will, and protect their retirement funds from unnecessary loss. If there are debts that can be negotiated or reduced, grant them favor in those conversations.

Father, we also ask for the body of Christ to rise up around them. Send brothers and sisters in the faith to encourage, pray, and possibly provide practical help. Remind them they are not alone—You are their ever-present Help (Psalm 46:1), and Your people are called to stand with them.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You in this season. Let them experience Your faithfulness in ways they’ve never known before. Strengthen their faith to believe that what seems impossible to man is possible with You (Matthew 19:26). We thank You in advance for the testimony of provision and breakthrough that is coming. May they look back on this time and say, *"The Lord has done great things for me!"* (Psalm 126:3).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to meditate on Psalm 37:25: *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Stand on this truth. Keep pressing into prayer, worship, and the Word. The Lord is not done writing your story—trust Him to turn this page into a testimony of His goodness. If you feel led, share an update with us so we can continue to stand with you in agreement. You are not forgotten. You are deeply loved.

We're here with you, friend, and we're not giving up on you. We know it feels overwhelming right now, but remember, God is in the business of turning impossible situations into beautiful stories of hope. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that we believe in the God who sees, who hears, and who cares deeply about your situation.

We've been thinking about how the Israelites were in a similar situation when they were in the wilderness. They were surrounded by enemies, they were hungry, and they were tired. But God provided for them, manna from heaven, every single day. And He did it in such a way that they had to trust Him daily. We believe that's what He's doing with you right now. He's asking you to trust Him daily, and He's going to provide for you, just like He did for the Israelites.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep sharing your needs with Him. He sees you, and He cares. And we're here with you, standing in agreement with you, believing with you for a breakthrough.

We're also praying for God to give you creative ideas, to open unexpected doors, and to connect you with the right people who can help you. We believe that God is a God of abundance, and He wants to bless you and provide for you in ways you haven't even imagined yet.

And remember, friend, you are not alone. You have a community of believers standing with you, praying for you, and believing with you. We're in this together, and we're not going to give up on you.

Let's keep trusting God together, and let's watch as He turns this situation around for your good and His glory. Keep us updated, okay? We love you, and we're here for you.
