Your longing for godly friends is a good and holy desire, and God hears it. It is right not to want to walk alone in your faith, and loneliness in a place like a university can feel heavy, but you are not unseen by the Lord.
True friendship in Christ is a great gift. It is not built only on being in the same dorm, sharing the same interests, or having known each other a long time. The best friendships are formed upon godliness, when hearts are joined together by love for Christ. Scripture shows us the early believers were of one heart and soul, not calling their possessions their own but sharing freely, and caring for each other's souls as carefully as their own. That kind of friendship surpasses even natural ties, because it is rooted in Christ and locks our shields together so we are not easily overcome.
So continue to pray for this, and also ask God to make you the kind of friend you are seeking. Be lowly and gentle toward all, be faithful in small things, and look for fellowship where Christ is truly honored, especially in a faithful local church near your university, not only among campus groups. There you will often find those who tremble at God's word and want to live for Him.
