We hear your earnest cry and we join with you in bringing this urgent need before our Heavenly Father, asking that every work that needs to be done would be completed today so that nothing would need to stretch into tomorrow.
We understand the pressure you feel and the desire to see all things finished without delay, and we want to encourage you to cast this burden on the Lord. We read in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. And we are reminded in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.
We notice in your request you called upon God, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently and lovingly want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can boldly approach God in prayer. We encourage you to put your trust in Him and to come to God in Jesus' name.
So together we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is overwhelmed with work and longing for completion today. Lord, You see every task, every responsibility, and every deadline. We ask for Your divine help, strength, and favor to enable every necessary work to be finished today according to Your will. Grant wisdom to prioritize, diligence to labor faithfully, and clarity of mind to work efficiently. Remove obstacles and confusion, and provide the help and resources needed. We pray for Your peace to guard this heart from anxiety and fear, as You have promised. Help us to remember Matthew 6:34, Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. Teach us to be faithful today while trusting You with tomorrow. If it is Your will that some things remain for another day, give grace to accept Your perfect timing and to rest in Your sovereignty. We commit all these works into Your hands, asking that whatever is done would be done for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to work diligently as unto the Lord, to do what you can with excellence, and to trust God with the outcome. He is faithful and He hears the prayers offered through His Son. Keep seeking Him, keep praying in Jesus' name, and let His peace rule in your heart even as you labor.
