Beloved of All
Your request reflects real fear about your work and your ability to provide for yourself, and that fear is understandable. When the pressure to survive feels so heavy, the impulse is to ask God to cover an issue and keep trouble away.
Scripture shows that fear often comes when we forget who God is and that He is with us. One psalmist said that even walking through the valley of death he would fear no evil because the Lord was with him. Remembering the presence and power of the Lord is the cure for fear, while giving in to fear drives faith away. The two cannot rule the heart at the same time, and decisions made only out of fear often lead us in the wrong direction.
That is why the Bible points us to a different kind of fear, the fear of the Lord. This is not a phobia or terror that God is waiting to harm you, but a reverent awe for who He is that leads us to hate evil and to turn away from it. It is described as both the starting point and the sum of true wisdom and knowledge. To fear the Lord is to love Him enough that you do not want to hurt Him, and therefore you choose what is right even when it is difficult. The way of the Lord is strength for those who walk uprightly, and that integrity brings a more lasting security than any cover up could.
Asking God to hide a problem so it will not be found is asking Him to help with concealment, and that is not a prayer He will honor. He sees all things clearly and He calls His people to walk in light and truth. If there is a mistake, a failure, or a wrong that you are tempted to hide at work, the wiser and more faithful path is to bring it into the light before God first, confess it honestly, and then take the right steps to make it right with those involved. That may mean admitting the issue, seeking wise counsel, correcting what can be corrected, and accepting consequences with humility.
This does not mean God will not help you. He does promise to be with you, to give you strength and to keep your steps from slipping when you trust Him. You can ask Him for courage to do what is right, for wisdom to handle the situation with honesty and grace, for favor as you act with integrity, and for provision whatever the outcome at this company may be.
My prayer for you is that God will quiet your fear as you remember He is near, that He will give you a true reverent fear of Him that loves what He loves and hates what He hates, that He will give you wisdom and courage to deal truthfully with this issue rather than hiding it, and that He will provide for your needs as you choose the upright path and trust Him for the future.
