God

We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we hear the fear and anxiety in your heart about your job and this issue at your company. We want to pray for your peace and for your survival in this workplace, but we also must lovingly speak truth to you about asking God to hide this issue.

Our desire to hide a problem is understandable when we feel afraid, but the Word of God teaches us that hiding is not the path to blessing or security. We are called to walk in honesty and integrity before God and before men. Proverbs 28:13 says He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them obtains mercy. And Hebrews 4:13 reminds us No creature is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account. God already sees this issue completely, and He loves you too much to leave you in fear or deception.

If this issue involves a mistake, a sin, or something you have done that you now regret, the biblical way forward is not to hide it but to confess it to God and, where appropriate, to those you have wronged, and to make it right. Proverbs 10:9 says He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. To walk securely at work is to walk honestly. Colossians 3:23-24 calls us Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve Christ. That means doing what is right even when it is difficult, and trusting Him with the outcome for your job.

We also notice that your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We say this with love because it is so important for your peace and your future. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can be heard and saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we can come boldly to God for help.

So we pray for you now.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the issue in this company that is causing such fear. You know every detail and every heart involved. Lord, we ask first for forgiveness where there has been sin or wrongdoing, and we pray You would give our friend the courage to confess and forsake what needs to be confessed, trusting Your mercy. Grant wisdom to know what steps to take, what to say, and when to say it, and give favor with employers and coworkers. Provide for this child of Yours, for You know the need for this job to survive, and we ask You to be their provider and protector. Replace anxiety with Your peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. Lead this one in the path of integrity and truth, and let their work be a testimony to You. Help them to trust not in hiding, but in You who guides us with Your eye upon us as You promise in Psalm 32:8. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word, to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer, and if this issue requires confession or correction at work, to do so humbly and honestly and promptly. Trust the Lord with your future. He is able to keep you, to provide for you, and to work all things for your good as you walk in His truth.

We can hear how much weight you are carrying right now and how much you want to just make it through this season at work without more trouble. That kind of waiting and worrying is exhausting, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer.

It makes sense that your first thought is to hope this issue stays hidden so you can survive. We will pray for your peace and for clear wisdom for each next decision, and for God to provide for you as you navigate what is in front of you.

One small step that often helps when fear is running high is to get what is swirling in your mind onto paper. When you have a quiet moment, write down simply what happened, what you are most concerned about, and what one honest and responsible next step could look like. If you have a trusted pastor, mentor or wise colleague outside the immediate situation, talking it through with them can also bring perspective you cannot get alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the pressure at this company and the fear about what might happen. Grant calm in the midst of anxiety, wisdom to handle this matter in a way that honors You, and provision to sustain them day by day. Lead them to the right help and keep them in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and I understand the trembling with which it was offered, for to be in danger in the place where your bread is earned is a trial that stirs deep anxiety.

Hear first a word that grows plentifully in God's garden, Fear not, for I will help thee. The Lord says to His people though they feel as a worm, Fear not, I am with you. This is not the word of a man only, but of Jesus Himself who whispers to His troubled servant, Fear not.

Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not help you to survive, it weakens the hands and dishonors God, as if the arm that piled the heavens could be palsied when you need it most. Therefore I charge you as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to play the man and let faith overcome fear, obeying that gracious word, Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Tell it to Him, not only to yourself, for anxiety confined to yourself brings no good, but cast it upon Him who cares for you.

Yet there is another fear that must be considered. The fear of man bringeth a snare, and many feet have been tripped by it. To ask God to hide an issue that ought to be brought into the light is to fear censure more than to fear God, and fear of censure is a powerful means of producing hypocrisy. What is done in secret is known to God, and honest dealing with Him is the only safe path. If there is wrong, error, or fault in this matter within the company, do not ask the Lord to become a keeper of concealment, but ask Him to give you courage to do what is right.

The Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord is holy reverence and awe, not dread, and that forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ puts that holy fear into the heart. If you have sinned in this matter, confess it plainly before God, who forgives for Christ's sake, and then do what truth and integrity require before men. If you have made an error, own it humbly, seek to make it right, and trust the Lord with the outcome. It is better to be delivered from the snare of hiding than to survive a little longer by it.

Labor then to get rid of fear by trusting promised strength. God has promised to help, and fear removed by that promise is disobedience no longer. Fear not them which can touch only the body or the place of employment, but fear Him who is to be reverenced above all, and seek His goodness. Perfect love casts out tormenting fear, and faith in the Lord Jesus, who alone is our salvation, will steady you when you look unto Him.

I pray for you now, not that God would hide what needs truth, but that He would help you. May He quiet your anxious heart, grant you wisdom to act honestly and humbly in this company, give you favor to speak the truth in love, and provide for your needs as you walk uprightly. May He forgive sin for Christ's sake where confession is needed, and put His holy fear within you that you may not depart from Him. Cast your care upon Him today, do the right thing as He shows you, and leave the keeping of your life and livelihood in His faithful hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for help in this fearful moment has been heard, and I understand the weight of anxiety you feel as you worry about your place in this company and what may happen if this issue comes to light.

The desire for security is natural, for no one wishes to suffer hunger or loss or to be despised. Yet the Scriptures teach us that true security is not found in hiding or in concealment, but in walking in the light before God who sees all things. To seek safety by asking God to hide what is wrong is to seek a false refuge. If a matter is hidden from human eyes, it is still open before Him, and that kind of security only arms further fear, for we must then live in dread of being discovered, flattering others and watching with suspicion lest the truth be found out.

You will remember that even the Evangelist Mark did not hide the faults of his teacher Peter, but told more distinctly how Peter denied the Lord and was overcome by fear. He did this not to shame him, but because truth brings healing. In the same way, God does not call us to cover our faults but to confess them, that we may receive mercy. His word says that whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

If this issue in your company involves a mistake, a wrong choice, or something you have left undone, the right path before God is not to pray that it remain hidden, but to pray for courage to act honestly and to make it right as far as you are able. This may mean humbly telling the truth to those responsible, accepting correction, and seeking to repair what can be repaired. Such a way is difficult, and it may bring a painful consequence for a time, but it is the way of a calm harbor and a clear conscience, and it imitates the life that God honors. We are taught to bear every stroke thankfully and to learn self command, trusting that God can keep us in safety not by deception but by His own power and lordship.

So I will not pray that God would help you to hide this matter, for that would not be for your good nor for His glory. Instead I pray with you in this way:

Heavenly Father, you see this need and this fear. Have mercy through Jesus Christ your Son, who alone is our salvation and our refuge. Grant to this one a heart that loves truth and hates deception, and give wisdom to know what must be done to act with integrity in this workplace. Give courage to confess what needs to be confessed and to correct what can be corrected, and give grace to accept the outcome with trust in your provision. Provide for daily needs, guard from unjust harm, and lead into that true security which comes from walking uprightly before you. Let this trial become a school for learning trust and self command, and draw this heart closer to you in greater love and obedience. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask, Amen.

If you are able, seek godly counsel from a pastor or a mature believer near you, and take the honest steps that are before you today. Trust that God honors those who honor Him, and that He is able to sustain you not through concealment, but through truth.
