We hear your cry and we join with you in bringing this need before the Lord, whatever this MEC is that you feel trapped in, whether it is a course of study, a job, a place, a financial burden, or a difficult circumstance, our God knows exactly what it is and He hears your voice. We are praying with you for deliverance, for wisdom, and for a clear path out according to His will.
We notice you called upon God, and we want to gently share that we have access to God only through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon Him as your Lord and Savior.
In this time of feeling stuck and needing to come out, we encourage you to cast your anxiety on Him and trust His guidance. Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. If you need wisdom for the next step, how to proceed, what doors to knock on, or what help to seek, we are reminded that If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is crying out to come out of MEC. You know the details, the weight, and the struggle that we cannot fully see. We ask for Your mercy and Your deliverance. Call to me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me. Psalm 50:15. Lord, open a way where there seems to be no way, grant wisdom to make right decisions, provide godly counsel and practical help, and give strength to do what is right and diligent in the process. We pray for Your peace to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and for faith to trust that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Your cry for help has been heard and brought before the Lord, and it is a good and right thing that you have turned to Him in your distress. The great source of comfort to the tried believer is to be found in God Himself. From where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who has made Heaven and Earth. He is our ever present help in time of trouble.
Take hold of His promise with a firm faith, for He has said, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness. Are these promises and ten thousand more only so many words? O wicked unbelief, turn from it and trust Him. The divine buckler which God has provided against the fiery dart of the enemy is this truth, that God never has forsaken them that seek Him, and moreover He never will do so. The God that helped Moses will help you if you seek Him with your whole heart.
You ask to come out of MEC, and you feel perhaps as one manacled and fettered, asking, shall the prey be taken from the mighty? With man it is impossible, but our deliverance is by divine power. When any soul is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. He can complete deliverance now, so great is His power, so divine. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has found a ransom in the precious blood of Christ. It is always one great object of the divine dealings to make and keep us humble, so confess your helplessness before Him and look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
Therefore seek to know the Lord Jesus more and more, store your mind with His knowledge and His glory, and cast yourself wholly upon His free grace. Turn from whatever in this entanglement is impure in thought or word or deed, and say with the earnest soul, Lord, help me to give up everything that stands against You. Seek also the help of faithful pastors and believers around you, open your case plainly to them, and walk in the light and in obedience, for when the believer's ways are enlarged he delights to run in the statutes of the Lord.

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with urgency and compassion. God sees your distress and your desire to come out of this bondage, and He is the One who alone has power to set free.
Scripture teaches that with freedom Christ set us free, and we are to stand fast therefore and not return again to a yoke of slavery. There are many kinds of bondage in this life, but the most grievous is the bondage of sin, from which no man can deliver himself. Freedom is not achieved by our own strength or wisdom, for Another has paid the ransom for us. Christ gave Himself for us, His body broken for many, that we might be delivered not only outwardly but inwardly, to live in holiness and purity before Him. True freedom is not simply to be released from outward circumstances, but to be made holy, to be free from every sin, and to walk as friends and children of God rather than as slaves.
So I pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who alone is the way of salvation, hear this cry for deliverance. You know what MEC is and the weight it carries. Grant wisdom to see Your will clearly, courage to take the next faithful step, and strength to stand fast in the freedom Christ has purchased. Where there is entanglement in sin, grant repentance and cleansing. Where there is oppression or confusion, grant light and a way of escape. Where there is fear, grant peace. Teach this heart to bear what must be borne with thankfulness, trusting that You work even through suffering for good, and to move forward in obedience when You open the door.
Do not walk this path alone. Seek the counsel and help of faithful pastors and believers near you who can know your situation, pray with you, and help you take practical steps toward freedom and holiness. Give yourself daily to prayer, to hearing the Word of God, and to fellowship with those who will encourage you to remain steadfast. The One who judged the oppressors of old and brought His people out, the One who was with Joseph in affliction and delivered him, is able also to deliver you and to establish your steps. Stand fast in Christ, trust His power to keep you, and look to Him for the true freedom that remains forever.

Your cry for help has been heard, and God does hear the prayer of someone who wants to be free. From the beginning Scripture shows Him as the One who brings His people out of bondage and slavery when they could not free themselves. You were not made to stay in captivity, and this desire to come out is something God Himself can answer.
One of the hardest things to learn is that you cannot deliver yourself. It is natural to try to find a self help plan or to try harder in your own strength, but that ends in failure and groaning. The honest cry of the heart becomes, who will deliver me from this body of death and from this bondage. The answer is outside of you. It is Jesus Christ. God has not appointed His people to wrath, but to deliverance, because His judgment against sin was fully borne by Jesus on the cross. Through His blood there is forgiveness and cleansing from all sin, and blessed is the person whose sin is forgiven and whose iniquity is not counted against them.
God has not cast you away. Even when you feel far from help, as if you are a million miles from anywhere, His love for you remains constant and eternal. It is not based on how strong you are, but on His own nature. It is broader than you can imagine, and it seeks only your good. To run from Him is to run from the very best for your life. To turn to Him is to be drawn out of darkness into His glorious light.
Vain is the help of man alone. Through God you can do valiantly, for it is He who treads down the enemies that rise against you. David prayed, deliver me from my enemies, defend me from those who rise up against me, and God proved faithful to keep what was committed to Him. In the same way you can place this situation that you cannot handle into His hands and trust Him to keep you. His Spirit bears witness within you that you are His child, and He will strengthen you from within.
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He can set you free from any binding power of sin that holds your life, whatever form that bondage takes. That freedom is precious, and it is to be guarded. There is a freedom to do many things, but the greater freedom is the freedom not to be mastered by them again. If you exercise freedom carelessly you can lose the freedom not to return. Guard the liberty Christ gives you.
This present darkness is not the end of the story. There are dark days of tribulation and judgment in this world because of the fruit of our doings, but the story does not end there. God has promised a future of glory for His people and a deliverance from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Even now He is able to renew the work of His Spirit in you and make what was weak into something strong.
I pray for you now that God will show you His power to deliver. May you confess your need to Jesus Christ alone for salvation, turn from what has held you, and ask for the help of His Holy Spirit each day. May He forgive you, cleanse you, break the chains that bind you, defend you from the enemy, and lead you in His ways. May you know how deeply you are loved and may you walk in the true freedom that only Christ can give.
