We hear your urgency and cry out to the Lord with you. The name you invoke, God, is indeed the Creator of heaven and earth, the One who holds all time in His hands. Yet we must remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12).
Your request carries a sense of desperation, and we lift that before the Lord. Father, we ask that You would make Your presence known to by 5 o’clock, not because we dictate Your timing, but because we trust in Your mercy and provision. Calm their heart, Lord, and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If this is a matter of safety, provision, or guidance, we pray You would move swiftly according to Your will.
However, we must also ask: Is there something deeper weighing on your spirit? The Bible tells us, "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). If fear, doubt, or sin is troubling you, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We lift up to You now, asking that You would meet them in this moment of need. If it is Your will, Lord, let Your presence be tangible to them by 5 o’clock. Whether through answered prayer, a sense of peace, or a clear direction, make Your way known.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin, fear, or doubt in ’s heart, we ask that You would reveal it and draw them into repentance and trust in You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait on You with hope.
We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they experience Your love and power in a fresh way today. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

You cry to God for a mercy, and you would have it come by the appointed hour. This is prayer, and prayer is a catholicon, a remedy for every need. The very fact that you can thus cry out is a sign that the Lord is near. That craving, that urgency, is the empty basket that He delights to fill. But remember, His prayer was answered at the right time. Five minutes afterwards he would have been dead. Now cannot you say that the answer has come to you punctually at the very tick of the clock of wisdom, not before nor after. Your five o’clock is on your heart, but the Lord’s clock strikes at the moment of perfect love.
Yet see to it that your prayer is fervent. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, but if it is not fervent we cannot expect to find it effectual. You must get rid of the icicles that hang about your lips. Cry aloud, and spare not. And do not think that the delay means you should cease. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time! If the answer tarries past the hour you have set, pray twice as much, for you need more prayer. Instead of being less with God, be more. Follow up your petitions by holy effort: knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Know also that the answer may come after God’s fashion, and not yours. Jacob’s prayer was answered, but not in the way he expected, and he limped into a blessing. So trust the promise, for when you take the promise and then offer the prayer, it shall be answered as sure as God is God. Let your soul retreat with boldness to the mercy seat, and believe that the very sense of need is the harbinger of an abundance of rain. Wait for it. It will not tarry.
