We hear your heartfelt plea for provision this Christmas season, and we join you in lifting this need before our Heavenly Father. It is beautiful to see your faith in Jesus Christ Almighty, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace. Remember, beloved, that our God is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). He knows your needs even before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8), and He delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon our dear brother/sister, that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Provide the funding needed to give a Christmas gift that will bring joy and point others to You. Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all things and to trust in His provision. Remember the words of our Savior: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31-33).
If there are specific ways you can be a good steward of the resources God has already entrusted to you, consider those as well. Perhaps there are opportunities to serve others, which may open doors for God's provision in your own life. "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38).
Lastly, let us remember that the greatest gift we can give is the gift of the Gospel, the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. As you seek to bless others this Christmas, may you also have opportunities to share the love of Christ and the hope that is found in Him alone. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
