I hate to be the hole in your balloon and cause the air to escape it,  but your prayer may fall on deaf ears if you believe you deserve something based on who you are. God is very clear that he is no respecter of man. By this he means rich or poor , smart or handicap black or white old or young he offers his gift of faith and reward because he loves us not because we think we are deserving for truly by our actions we are not. Gods love is not conditional as he loves us in spite of our  despicable sinful nature, I would rethink my prayer and ask God to first open your heart and help you receive his word and then to give you the wisdom to make the right choices and to open the right doors for you pertaining to your college and career . Ask by your grace Father help me to realize my potential and lead me in the right direction , In the name of Jesus Christ I pray for God's abundant grace to enlighten you and meet your needs as his will dictates and that your heart will be at peace and find your cup overflowing.
