Father, we confess with the great multitude in heaven, shouting praise, The Lord God Omnipotent Reigns, Rev 19:6... Reign! Ride forth victoriously for the sake of Truth, Humility and Justice, Ps 45:3-4! Restrain Evil, Jn 17:15, We Pray FOR All in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, SAVE OUR LEADERS and THOSE IN OTHER NATIONS around the world to govern justly in Jesus' Name, 1 Tim 2:3-4... Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining BOTH their APPOINTED TIMES and EXACT BOUNDARIES of their habitation, Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden of this Earth to YOU asking YOU to restrain the evil one over Several Unruly Countries, even restrain him over all nations, Jn 16:11, asking You intercept evil plans, miraculously, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 1 Sam 20:9, 1 Sam 20:27-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation over these countries, Dan 10:12-14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using praise and worship, Josh 6:20, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149:1-5, Ps 150:1-5, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the NAME of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church ACTUALLY be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:32-33, imitating God, Eph 5:1, even Jesus, who also intercedes for us, Rom 8:34, since You ever live to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing GOOD and HEALING -- ALL -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a Holy Nation, and Royal Priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will, Eph 1:11, -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. We come before You, the Almighty God, who reigns over all nations and holds the earth in Your hands. You are sovereign, and nothing escapes Your knowledge or control. We declare with the psalmist, "The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains; the world, and those who dwell in it" (Psalm 24:1). You determine the appointed times and boundaries of nations (Acts 17:26), and we acknowledge that even the most powerful leaders are but a drop in the bucket compared to Your majesty (Isaiah 40:15).

Father, we lift up the nations of this world to You, especially those gripped by unrighteousness, violence, and deception. We ask that You restrain the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Just as You revealed the schemes of the king of Syria to Elisha (2 Kings 6:12) and exposed Saul’s plots against David (1 Samuel 20), we pray that You intercept and dismantle every evil plan devised against Your people and the innocent. Bind the spirit of retaliation and division, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).

We pray earnestly for all in authority, our leaders and those governing other nations, that You would guide their hearts like streams of water (Proverbs 21:1). May they seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). We intercede for their salvation, for You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4). Father, deliver them from temptation and the snares of the evil one, for we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). We ask that You back the enemy away from their minds and strategies, just as praise and worship brought down the walls of Jericho (Joshua 6:20) and soothed Saul’s torment (1 Samuel 16:23). Let Your name be praised from the rising to the setting of the sun (Psalm 113:3), and may Your truth, humility, and justice prevail in every land (Psalm 45:3-4).

Lord, we confess that the Church must rise as Your helpmeet (Genesis 2:18), a holy nation and royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). Too often, we have been passive or divided, but we repent and ask for Your strength to imitate Christ, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). Just as Jesus intercedes for us (Romans 8:34), we stand in the gap for the nations, praying with faith that moves mountains (Matthew 21:21). Teach us to walk in the authority You have given us (Luke 10:19), not rejoicing in temporary victories but in the assurance of our eternal salvation (Luke 10:20).

We ask that You spoil the enemy’s plans, turning them to conform to Your perfect will (Ephesians 1:11). Where there is hatred, sow love; where there is deception, bring truth; where there is oppression, bring freedom. We confess our own sins and the sins of our nation, pleading for Your mercy and revival (Daniel 9:20). Restrain the evil one even now, as You will one day bind him completely (Revelation 20:2), and let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your unfailing love and power, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified in every nation, and may Your people walk in boldness and faith, doing even greater works than Christ as we abide in Him (John 14:12). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We're grateful to stand with you in this. It's a heavy burden to carry a prayer like this alone, and we notice you didn't just list nations or leaders, you poured out Scripture as a weapon and a lifeline. That kind of sustained intercession can leave a person weary, and we want you to know it matters that you're doing it. The act of praying itself is one of the most universally helpful sources of strength in times like these, and knowing someone else is in the fight with you can steady the heart when the darkness feels thick.

One thing we'd encourage is simply not to carry this weight in isolation. If you have even one or two trusted believers you can pray with aloud, that shared intercession often does something in our own spirit that private prayer alone cannot. It reminds us we're part of a body, not a solitary watchman.

Lord Jesus, we lift the one who has poured out this prayer to You. Refresh them. Guard their hope from weariness. We ask You to restrain evil across the earth and turn the hearts of leaders toward justice and truth, not because any nation deserves it, but because You are merciful. Protect those who are vulnerable to the schemes of the wicked, and give Your church a spirit of persevering prayer that does not lose heart. Thank You that the Lord God omnipotent reigns. The burden you have laid before the throne is weighty and right. You have pleaded the sovereignty of the Almighty over the nations, and truly, the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. He has made from one blood all nations, and fixed their times and boundaries; therefore, let us draw near with confidence. The heart that intercedes for rulers and for the restraint of evil is close to the heart of the great Intercessor. Yet observe the narrowness of the way. The Spirit’s intercession is for the saints, and our Lord Himself declared He prays not for the world, but for them which the Father has given Him. This truth does not chill our prayers but purifies them. We must first cry that the leaders and the multitudes be brought into that blessed company through the one door of salvation, which is Christ Jesus.

The gospel is the same for the prince and the pauper. There is not one path for the great and another for the lowly. The throne and the gutter both lead to the same judgment bar, and the single remedy is a look to the dying Lamb of God. You do well to plead, “Save our leaders,” but remember, their salvation is obtained just as the harlot’s or the drunkard’s, by a simple, humble faith in Him who was lifted up. It lowers the pride of man, and for this very reason God has chosen to save by grace alone. He hath concluded all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all. We must urge this plain truth upon the conscience of every man, high or low: with the heart man believeth unto righteousness. There is no other way. Point them to the Cross, for there is no restraint upon evil that can compare to the regeneration of a single soul by the Holy Ghost. When a sinner is made a saint, the devil’s spoil is utterly ruined.

Yet we tremble at the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty, which towers above our prayers. Why is the Gospel sent to our nation while others sit in darkness? Why is one leader’s heart softened while another’s remains granite? There is no answer but this: “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.” This is a truth that to the rebellious spirit is as a blazing fire, but to the contrite child becomes a pillar of cloud, dark with an excessive brightness. It drives us to our knees. Because He is Sovereign, we are bold to pray. Because the King has a right to give or to withhold, we are commanded to ask Him for grace. And we do not ask as those who beat the air. We have His own promise: “Ask, and it shall be given you.” This promise is the very fruit of His sovereignty, a golden scepter stretched out by the absolute Monarch towards us who deserve no audience.

Take up, then, this holy wrestling for the nations. The request to spoil the evil one’s plans and bind the spirit of retaliation is a full-bodied cry of faith. Have we not authority over all the power of the enemy? Yet we are not ignorant of his devices. He is a murderer from the beginning. We oppose him not with carnal weapons but by the weapon of all-prevailing intercession. When the Church, seeing the sins of a nation, confesses her own sin and the people’s sin, as Daniel did, she lays hold of the very arm of Omnipotence. We must pray men into prayer. We must plead for those who will not plead for themselves, until the sin-sick soul begins to sigh and cry for mercy. This is the way the King’s chariot wheels advance. Not by the sword of steel but by the tear of supplication and the mighty cry, “O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive.”

He is the living Savior, the visible image of the invisible God, who went about doing good. He still does so through His pleading body on earth. We are to be His helpmeet, acting in union with Him. This is our highest dignity. We are taken into partnership with Christ in His intercessory work. How this dignifies our groaning! He ever lives to intercede, and when we pray for the poor, proud sons of vain dust who rule the nations, we are in sympathy with our Divine Master. We sigh for them as Samuel sighed for Saul, even when the case seemed hopeless. We cannot take “No” for an answer because He who taught us to pray never turned away a sincere petitioner. The heathen are perishing, but there is a glorious future for the handful by the side of the lake. All kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him. Until that day, we wait for the Lord and we work at the throne of grace, for He has made all these things.

Your prayer burns with zeal, and you have gathered many Scriptures like gems, yet take care that the flame is kindled by love, not by a hidden root of wrath. When you stretch out your hands to ask God to bind the evil one, be sure those hands are lifted up holy, without anger or doubting. For if you do not forgive those rulers and nations who trouble the world, but rather pray against them with a spirit of retaliation, you turn your own supplication into a sword that wounds yourself. The Lord permitted eye for eye not to let loose your hands against the aggressor, but to bind the hands of evil and to preserve both your own eyes and your neighbor’s. So, intercede for the salvation of all in authority, not merely for their restraint; this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved. Now is the acceptable time; seize it for mercy, not for vengeance.

Consider also that the devil’s dominion is not uncreated nor eternal: he occupies the air beneath the sky, and his kingdom is of this age, which will cease. God has already chained him as far as needed for the sake of His elect, and He works all things according to His own will. Therefore, do not speak as though you must drag him in fetters by your prayer; rather, give thanks in everything, for even afflictions are permitted for comfort and salvation, working patient endurance. When you give thanks even for lesser things like daily bread, you confess that the creation is not evil, and you honor God’s sovereignty in all. Pray with confidence, yet also with humility, knowing that you yourself need the prayers of the saints and must remain watchful over your own soul. A soldier who boasts that he needs no help will soon fall; one who stands alert and asks the support of others fights safely.

Let the Church indeed be a helpmeet to the Lord, not by presuming to command the unseen powers, but by imitating Christ who ever lives to intercede, by speaking truth in love, and by healing souls oppressed by the devil through the medicine of holy conversation and genuine mercy. When you see division among rulers or peoples, do not always seek to unite them under a bad peace; sometimes separation from evil is wholesome, and unity in wickedness is ruin. Above all, repent for your own sins and the sins of your nation, as Daniel did, and rejoice that your names are written in heaven, for this far outweighs any authority over spirits. Pray on, but let your cry rise with the merciful heart of the Publican, not the clenched fist of one who forgets he is a fellow beggar before the throne of grace.

What a powerful and scripturally grounded prayer you have lifted before the Lord. It reads like an echo from the watchmen on the walls, refusing to be silent until Jerusalem is established and made a praise in the earth. The sheer weight of Scripture you’ve woven together shows a heart that truly understands that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of darkness in this present age.

You have rightly confessed that the Lord God Omnipotent reigns. The nations may rage, but they are a drop in the bucket to Him. He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands, and He can turn the heart of any king or president as a watercourse in His hand. When we see corruption seated in the very places designed to preserve what is good, it is not a sign that He has lost control. It is a call to prayer, exactly as you are doing. The rot in the halls of power, where leaders boast in their evil and love the darkness, opens the door for a nation’s unraveling, but God still has His people positioned to entreat Him.

Your prayer for all in authority, especially that they would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, is precisely what the Spirit instructed through Paul. Even when the Roman emperor wielded the sword unjustly, believers were told to pray, because every authority that exists has been instituted by God and remains answerable to Him. We keep asking the Lord to restrain the evil one, to intercept his schemes, and to bind the spirit of retaliation across unruly lands. The devils believe in God’s sovereignty and tremble; how much more should the Church, armed with the promises of God, stand in the gap with boldness?

I am reminded that David, when his very life was hunted by a corrupt king, did not just lament. He strengthened himself in the Lord. He meditated on God’s statutes and made them his counselors. The Word must remain our delight and our weapon. When we do not know what to do, the Spirit takes the sword of the Word and cuts through the confusion. That is why your prayer is saturated with truth: it puts God in remembrance of His own declarations.

You mentioned the Church being a true helpmeet, joining in the intercession of our great High Priest. That is the high calling of the redeemed: a kingdom of priests who imitate Jesus, who ever lives to intercede. We do not merely complain about the darkness; we shine as light. We do not merely fret over evil plans; we spoil them through prayer, praise, and worship until even our enemies are forced to acknowledge that God is with us. Like Jehoshaphat’s choir leading the army, our song can throw the camp of the adversary into confusion.

Do not grow weary in lifting this burden. The very fact that we groan inwardly while waiting for the redemption of our bodies is proof that the Spirit is at work. Evil will not have the last word. The day of the Lord will come, and in that valley of decision He will separate the sheep from the goats. Justice will roll down. But until that moment, we hold the line with prayer and with the confidence that Jesus has already conquered. He tasted death for everyone; He disarmed the powers of darkness. So even now, when we see or hear of terrible things, we can do what Habakkuk did. With crops failing and livestock gone, he did not just sigh, he jumped up and down in the God of his salvation. He declared, “The Lord God is my strength.”

Let your rejoicing in the tents of your home be louder than the turmoil outside. Keep interceding for leaders, keep confessing the sins of the land, and keep asking the Lord to back the enemy off those who strategize evil. Continue to walk honestly as in the day, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. The night is far spent, and the dawn is near. The Lord sees your faith and He stores your prayers like incense before the throne. Thank you for sharing this bold, scripture-filled cry. Be strong in the Lord and keep lifting that shield of faith.
