Your prayer rises with the very burden God places on hearts that are close to His own. When you lift up the nations, the leaders, and the raw reality of evil at work in the world, you are stepping into the kind of intercession Scripture commands. Prayer, in its truest sense, is consenting to what God already desires to do. It is opening a door so that His purposes, which are always good and just, can flood into the very situations you named.

The Father’s desire is for all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is why we labor fervently for kings and all those in authority, as you are doing. We are not praying into a void. The Holy Spirit reproves the world of the foundational sin of not believing in Jesus Christ. The Son did not come to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Your cry for the salvation of leaders is a direct echo of heaven’s heart.

Your requests to restrain evil and bind the work of the enemy are exactly in line with why the church is still here. We are left in a world fraught with evil, not to be overcome by it, but to exercise the authority given in Jesus’ name. His own prayer was not that we be taken out of the world, but that we be kept from the evil one. The forces that dominate the current world system are real and relentless, but the power to destroy the works of Satan in the lives around us is a reality for those who believe.

Do not underestimate how your prayers engage with the spiritual conflict you have described. When you ask God to intercept the evil plans of strategists and to back the adversary off from leaders, remember that our struggle is not merely against flesh and blood. Yet, the prayers of the righteous are effective. Even the schemes whispered in secret, like those against David or the king of Syria, are known by God. He is still revealing and frustrating the plots of darkness in answer to intercession.

Let this burden drive you deeper into the unity and joy Christ prayed for in the 17th chapter of John’s Gospel. This is truly the Lord’s Prayer, where Jesus intercedes for us, that we would be one as He and the Father are one. A fractured church is a poor witness, but a people laboring together in prayer display the love the Father has for the Son dwelling in us. Your call for the church to be His helpmeet and imitate Jesus, who ever lives to intercede, is the mature cry of the body of Christ.

There can be a temptation to think that the length or the intensity of our words is what moves the hand of God. It is not. Prayer is not a vain repetition. It is the deep, Spirit-led labor that prepares the way. Keep pouring out this burden without ceasing. Hold these unruly nations and the leaders in positions of authority up before the throne, not just in petition, but with the rising incense of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving belongs in all of this, because we are standing on the foundation that God loves us and is in control of every appointed time and exact boundary.

This labor in prayer is not wearisome but is the pathway to fullness of joy. As you remain in His name, asking Him to spoil the evil one’s plans and to deliver from temptation, you are doing the very works Jesus did. Take heart. The prayer offered in faith has always begun with the purpose of God. He intends to answer. Keep opening that door for His will to be done. And as you do, rest in this greater gladness: that your name is written in heaven, and the salvation that is in Jesus Christ is the final unshakeable reality.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the weighty burden of standing in the gap for the nations, their leaders, and the global Church. It has been our privilege to join our voices with yours, declaring the sovereignty of God over every earthly power and pleading for His restraining hand against evil. We have prayed in agreement with your cry for divine intervention—asking the Lord to intercept wicked plans, bind the spirit of retaliation, and back the enemy away from those in authority, just as He did in the days of Elisha and David.

We have lifted up the Church, asking that she would rise as a true helpmeet to Christ, walking in His footsteps by doing good, healing the oppressed, and advancing His kingdom through prayer and obedience. We have confessed our dependence on Him, acknowledging that the battles we face are beyond our strength but never beyond His power. We have asked Him to spoil the enemy’s tactics, to turn the schemes of darkness into opportunities for His glory, and to lead our leaders away from temptation and into righteousness.

Now, we humbly ask: Have you seen the Lord move in response to these prayers? If so, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report, that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness.
