Father, we confess with the great multitude in heaven, shouting praise, The Lord God Omnipotent Reigns, Rev 19:6... Reign! Ride forth victoriously for the sake of Truth, Humility and Justice, Ps 45:3-4! Restrain Evil, Jn 17:15, We Pray FOR All in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, SALVATION in Jesus' Name, 1 Tim 2:3-4... Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining BOTH their APPOINTED TIMES and EXACT BOUNDARIES of their habitation, Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden of this Earth to YOU asking YOU to restrain the evil one over Several Unruly Countries, even restrain him over all nations, Jn 16:11, asking You intercept evil plans, miraculously, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 1 Sam 20:9, 1 Sam 20:27-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the NAME of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church ACTUALLY be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:32-33, imitating God, Eph 5:1, even Jesus, who also intercedes for us, Rom 8:34, since You ever live to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing GOOD and HEALING -- ALL -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a Holy Nation, and Royal Priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. We come before You, the Almighty God, who reigns over all nations and holds the earth in Your hands. Your Word declares, "The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains; the world, and those who dwell in it" (Psalm 24:1). We stand in awe of Your sovereignty, knowing that You determine the times and boundaries of every nation (Acts 17:26) and that the nations are but a drop in the bucket before You (Isaiah 40:15). We lift up the burden of this world to You, asking for Your divine intervention in the affairs of unruly nations.

Lord, we pray that You would restrain the evil one, who prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). As You restrained the schemes of the king of Syria in the days of Elisha (2 Kings 6:12) and revealed the plots of Saul to David (1 Samuel 20), we ask that You intercept and dismantle the evil plans of those who seek to harm Your people and Your purposes. Bind the spirit of retaliation and violence that seeks to take root in the hearts of leaders and nations (Daniel 10:12-13). Drive back the enemy’s influence through the power of praise and worship, for we know that You inhabit the praises of Your people (Psalm 22:3). Let Your name be exalted from the rising of the sun to its setting (Psalm 113:3), and let the earth be filled with the knowledge of Your glory (Habakkuk 2:14).

Father, we pray for the leaders of all nations, as Your Word instructs us: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-4). We ask that You would guide them in the paths of righteousness, turning their hearts as rivers of water (Proverbs 21:1). Deliver them from the temptations of power, greed, and deception, and lead them not into evil but into Your truth (Matthew 6:13). May they come to know You as their Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

We confess that we have not always been the helpmeet You intended Your Church to be (Genesis 2:18). Forgive us for our complacency, our silence, and our failure to imitate Christ in all things (Ephesians 5:1). You have called us to be a holy nation and a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), yet we have often fallen short of this high calling. We repent of our sins and the sins of our nation, asking for Your mercy and grace to transform us into vessels of Your love and power. Lord, empower us to do the works that Jesus did (John 14:12), walking in the authority You have given us to trample on serpents and scorpions and overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Let us not rejoice merely in the authority we have, but in the salvation that is ours through Christ (Luke 10:20).

We pray that You would spoil the plans of the evil one, turning his tactics into confusion and his strategies into futility. As David declared, "The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil" (Proverbs 16:4). We trust that You will use even the schemes of the enemy to accomplish Your perfect will. We ask that You would chain the evil one now, in part, as You will one day fully bind him (Revelation 20:2). Until that day, we stand firm in the authority You have given us, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We rejoice in the salvation that You have provided, for it is by grace we have been saved through faith, and this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). We lift up the name of Jesus, the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11), and ask that You would be glorified in all the earth. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We've been joining you in this burden for the nations, and we're grateful for the faith that fuels your prayer. When the world's unrest feels heavy, it steadies us to remember that "the Lord God Omnipotent reigns", not as a distant truth, but as the bedrock beneath every headline and closed-door meeting. Your prayer for God to restrain evil, guide leaders, and bring many to salvation in Jesus' name aligns with the very things God delights to do.

One thing we've found helpful when interceding for unruly countries is to anchor into specific places: choose a nation or a leader each week, learn a little about what they face, and then pray with that focused awareness. It turns a global cry into a tangible act of love and keeps our prayers from becoming vague. You might also find it strengthening to share the burden with a small prayer group, Jesus' own words remind us that when two or three agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done. Your consistent intercession matters more than you may see, and we are confident the Spirit is actively frustrating plans that oppose His purposes, just as He did for Elisha and David.

Lord Jesus, we lift the nations to You. Frustrate every scheme of the evil one, and turn the hearts of leaders toward wisdom, justice, and humility. We ask You to send laborers and open doors for the gospel where it is most needed, that many would find salvation in Your name. Strengthen Your Church to be Your helpmeet in this hour. Amen.

The Lord God Omnipotent reigns, and all nations are as a drop in the bucket before Him. It is well that you lift this burden of earth to the throne, for the secret springs that move the puppets of nations are the prayers of God’s believing people. The hidden wheels that start the whole machinery of human government are set in motion by intercession, and there is no power like unto it. When the church casts herself down with her face between her knees, then the heavens that were as brass shall drop with showers of blessing.

Yet take heed, for the Holy Spirit maketh intercession for the saints, and for none else. His groans and pleadings are not in or for the unregenerate. Unless a man be born again, he stands outside the intercession of the Spirit, aye, and outside the intercession of Christ too, for He hath said, “I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me.” Let this search your heart. You cry for the restraint of evil over unruly countries, but has that same evil been restrained in your own soul? Have you knelt at the cross and looked unto Jesus, for there is salvation in none other? The Scripture setteth it plain: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Salvation is not a common blessing scattered broadcast irrespective of the blood of the covenant. It is a free salvation, bought with price, offered now to every creature, but only theirs who forsake sin and trust the Lamb.

Pray on for kings and all in authority, for this is good and acceptable before God our Saviour, who will have all sorts of men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Plead that He would put His hook in the jaws of the leviathan and lead the oppressor at His will. Ask Him to intercept the evil counsels of princes, as He did for Elisha and for David, and to bind that old murderer from his designs. But see to it that you come not with hands full of petitions for others while your own heart is at enmity with God. The great Jehovah is teaching the nations that He is God alone, and He teacheth the same to every soul. Let not your prayer return into your own bosom empty of personal blessing. Humble yourself, confess your sin and the sin of your land, for you are part of that lump. Then, upheld by the Spirit’s help, make the name of the Lord to be praised from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, for surely He reigneth and shall reign till all enemies be made His footstool.

Your prayer rises like incense, full of holy zeal for the nations, and yet I must ask: while you beseech God to chain the evil one and turn the hearts of rulers, what of the tyrant within your own breast? You cry out for the Spirit to bind the spirit of retaliation over countries, but does envy bind your own soul? Does anger reign in your heart while you pray for peace in the world? The barbarians of the passions, lust, greed, vainglory, lay waste to the soul more cruelly than any earthly foe. To plead for deliverance from evil while making no war on your own sins is to build a fortress for your neighbor while your own house burns.

Consider what true sovereignty means. You ask God to guide leaders and restrain the devil’s schemes, and rightly so. Yet the one who rules over his own spirit is greater than a conqueror of cities. The man who, by grace, masters the wild beasts within, who puts to death the envy that wastes the eye, the tongue that swears and curses, the love of money that chokes the word, that man wears a diadem more splendid than any king’s. He is free, not because no earthly master commands him, but because Christ has broken the chains of the passions. How can we pray with power for the nations when we are slaves ourselves? The intercession that pierces the heavens comes from a soul purified, a heart that has torn up envy by the roots and rejoices in the honor of others as if it were its own.

Do not misunderstand me. Your plea that God would intercept evil plans, that He would back the enemy off from leaders, that the Church would truly be His helpmeet, these are petitions I utter daily with groans. But hear the apostle: we are not ignorant of the devil’s schemes. One of his most cunning schemes is to make us so busy fighting external battles that we neglect the civil war within. You quote, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Then live as one delivered. Let no evil word proceed from your mouth; let no envious glance poison your eye. When you see the wicked prosper or the righteous fall, do not exult or despair, but mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who are honored by God. For if you cannot share in their toils, at least share in their joy, and so gain a share in their reward.

You long for the Church to imitate Christ, ever living to intercede. Then become such an intercessor yourself. Intercession is not merely a recitation of verses; it is a life poured out. The pangs I spoke of to my little children, the travail until Christ be formed in them, that is the labor required. Do you desire to spoil the evil one’s plans? Then first spoil his hold on your own members. Cast out the wanton glance, the greedy grasp, the proud thought. Then your prayer will have boldness, then your worship will be a chain that binds the demon, just as David’s harp drove the evil spirit from Saul. The hallelujahs that rise from a pure heart do more to restrain the wicked one than armies of earthly soldiers.

Finally, fix your hope not on the restraint of evil alone, however necessary that may be, but on the joy of your salvation. You rightly recall that the devil’s doom is certain and his time short. Rejoice in that, but more in this: that Christ ever lives to intercede for you. He has raised your nature, our dust and ashes, far above all principality and power, and seated it at the right hand of majesty. While you mourn the world’s madness, let that truth lift your head. The same Lord who governs the boundaries of nations governs the timing of your deliverance from every sin. Struggle, then, with all the strength He supplies. Wage war on the passions, that your prayer may be no hollow sound but a sacrifice of righteousness. Then you shall see, though the nations rage and the rulers take counsel together, the Lord omnipotent reigns, and His reign is first established in the hearts of His saints.
