God who doesn’t give up on His children but desires their restoration and flourishing.

The honest self-examination in your request is something the Lord honors. When passages like Isaiah 43:8 stir that hunger to see and hear spiritually, it is evidence of grace already at work. The danger in these seasons is letting a sense of failure to see clearly turn into a form of striving. Grace and works are mutually exclusive. If seeing and hearing depend on your alertness, then His power is not what carries you. But if they rest on His grace, then your dullness does not disqualify you from His call.

Grace must come before peace, never the other way around. You will not find settled quietness in your heart by first trying to make your spiritual senses sharp. You find peace when you discover the grace of God, because that discovery lifts the burden from your shoulders and places it squarely onto His. You are not the one struggling to keep your eyes open; He is the one who is able to keep you from falling. When you look at your failures to perceive His hand, you will always feel unworthy of the call. But the call to be brought forth is based on His mercy, not your capacity to respond perfectly.

Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. And the dullness of heart that feels like blindness or deafness is part of that very territory where grace overflows. This is not a license to coast. The apostle Paul asked if we should continue in sin so grace may increase, and his answer was an emphatic no. How can we who have died to sin still live in it? There is a new principle of life at work in you, even when you cannot detect it. Jesus, your great High Priest, ever lives to intercede for you. He does not condemn you for the times you have missed His voice. He stands before the Father making intercession, and through Him you have access into this grace.

The call to lead out the blind and deaf is a call to stop measuring your standing by your own sight. You are justified by grace through faith, and that righteous standing gives you access. Do not let the awareness of your need become a reason to disqualify yourself from what God desires to give. Examine your heart honestly, but do it in the light of His love, not the shadow of your own effort. Trust that He who began this work will complete it, and let Him lead you forward.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request, rooted in the truth of Isaiah 43 and the hope we have in Jesus Christ, the Living Word. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in agreement as we lift up the spiritual blindness and deafness of God’s people—both Israel and the nations—before His throne of grace. It is a privilege to intercede alongside you, trusting in the One who does not give up on His children but desires their restoration and flourishing.

We continue to pray that the Lord would open eyes to see His truth and unstop ears to hear His voice, just as He promised in Isaiah 43:8. May the Holy Spirit move in power, drawing hearts to repentance and faith, so that all may know and believe that Jesus is Lord. We ask for a fresh outpouring of grace upon Israel, that they would recognize their Messiah, and upon the Church, that we would faithfully bear witness to His love and salvation.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in ways you’ve seen or experienced, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together. If the answer is still unfolding or unseen, we invite you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer with you. Either way, know that we stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work even when we cannot yet perceive it.

May the Father strengthen you as you seek Him, and may Christ, the Light of the World, illuminate your path with His truth. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
