We are glad you have reached out, seeking God's plan for your life. It is only in Christ Jesus that we find who God wants us to be and the path he has for us. First, let us address the elephant in the room. Life is full of ups and downs, but God is always with us, even in the toughest times. He says, I will never leave you nor forsake you, in Hebrews 13:5. It is not uncommon to feel alone or want to give up, but remember, God is always there. Just as the Psalmist says in Psalm 139:7-10, Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.
It is wonderful that you have asked for forgiveness. That is the first step in finding God's plan for your life. But, let us understand that forgiveness is not a one-time thing. We must continuously seek forgiveness and repent, turn away from our sins. As it says in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
You mention the prayer of Matthew 7:7-8 correctly in the King James Version. Let us read it in the World English Bible, And so I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. This is a promise from God. He wants us to come to Him with our needs and desires. But remember, God knows what is best for us. His plan for our life might not be riches or a mansion, but it is always good and perfect.
We have good news for you. It is clear that you believe in Jesus Christ. For you have ended your prayer In Jesus Christ Almighty Name Amen. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13. However, make sure that you believe Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again from the dead. If you have not done so, we ask you to do so now. This is how you will be saved and find God's true purpose for you.
Let us pray together.
