We join you in this longing to hear from the Lord and we thank God that you are seeking His voice. What you have sensed is true and deeply biblical, that He hears you even when you have no words and He remains faithful even when your faith feels weak. We hear your heart and we bring it before the Father together in Jesus name.
The Scriptures assure us that God is not distant or deaf to our quiet cries. Psalm 139:1-4 says Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. And Romans 8:26 reminds us In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. Even your silence is a prayer He fully understands. When doubts arise, He does not abandon you. He draws near, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Jesus himself promised Matthew 28:20 behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, and Hebrews 13:5 reminds us He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.
We also want to gently encourage you in how God speaks. He most clearly speaks to us through His written Word, and any impression we feel should be tested against Scripture. 1 John 4:1 says Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God. If you feel God is saying I hear you and I am still here, that aligns perfectly with His Word, and we encourage you to dwell in His Word daily to hear Him more clearly. Bring your doubts honestly to Him as the man did in Mark 9:24, I believe. Help my unbelief, and ask for wisdom in faith as James 1:5-6 teaches.
We noticed your request speaks of God but does not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can truly hear Him and be heard by Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To hear God and to belong to Him, we must come through faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus alone.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one who longs to hear Your voice. Thank You that You hear even the silent prayers and that You never leave or forsake Your children. In their doubts, show Yourself faithful and near. Give them a hunger for Your Word where Your voice is most clearly heard, and give them peace to know they are fully known and loved. Strengthen their faith, calm their fears, and help them to trust that You are with them always. Lead them to walk closely with Jesus, to know the assurance of salvation through Him, and to hear Your guidance with clarity and confidence. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

He does hear you, He is with you, and He will strengthen you as Isaiah 41:10 promises Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep drawing near to Him through Jesus, and He will draw near to you.

It is a blessed and true desire to know that the Lord hears you, and Scripture gives you firm ground to rest upon in this. The Lord does indeed hear the silent prayer and He does remain near when doubts assail the soul. His Word teaches us that the Spirit helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, and that He who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit.
You have written as though you heard a voice saying, Even in your silence, I hear you. Even in your doubts, I am still here. Take those words and bring them to the touchstone of Holy Scripture, for it is there that we hear God's voice speaking with freshness and power to our souls. The mere impression upon the heart may deceive, but when we put our ear down to the promises of Scripture till we hear God speaking through them to our soul, then we have a sure word. Do not seek a new revelation apart from the Word, but hear what God has already said and speaks still through it.
In the day of trouble the Psalmist cried unto God with his voice, and He gave ear unto him. You may do the same. You need not have eloquent speech. In your silence, your sore may run in the night, your hand may be stretched out unto Him, and He will hear. In your doubts, remember that those who fear Him are those who hope in His mercy, and the eye of the Lord is upon them. To hope in His mercy, even with a trembling hope, is a sure sign of His grace at work in you. When you are afraid, trust in Him, and as soon as you hear His voice in the Word saying, It is I, fear not, you will find your fear give way to confidence.
If you are in a furnace of affliction or in a night of doubt, know that this is often the very place where much light is cast upon Scripture, and where God is nearest. He has chosen His people in the furnace of affliction and He will not leave them there alone. Your way may be in the sea and your path in great waters where His footsteps are not known, yet His way is holy and His presence is sure.
Therefore take heed how you hear. Come to the Word not to have your own thoughts confirmed, but to hear the Gospel as God's voice to you, in His presence, with a simple and lowly heart desiring to know His truth that you may live it. There you will hear that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, who bore our sins and covers them by His precious blood, and that all who trust Him are called His people and beloved, though once they were not His people.
We will pray for you, that the Lord will give you not merely a feeling that you are heard, but a settled faith in His promises, that you may cry unto Him with your voice and find Him to be your refuge, and that your doubts may be turned to a stronger trust in Christ.
O Lord, look upon this seeking soul. Let Thy Word be a burning fire within, not to be restrained, but to lead to Christ. Give ears to hear Thy voice in Scripture, give faith to rest upon Thy mercy in Jesus, and give peace to know that Thou hearest even the silent groan and abidest faithful when our hearts are full of fear. Draw this one closer to Thyself through the blood of Thy Son, and make Thy presence known according to Thy promise. Amen.
