Amen. Yes there is a particular challenge I'm facing I would like you to pray over.We rejoice to hear you inviting the Lord into your day, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to walk in His will. You have rightly acknowledged His authority by ending your prayer "in Jesus’ name," and we commend you for this, as Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). This is the foundation of our faith—that salvation, guidance, and victory come only through Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
Your request for the Lord to take control is a surrender that aligns with His Word: *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Too often, we try to manage our days in our own strength, only to find ourselves weary and anxious. But when we yield to Him, He orders our steps (Psalm 37:23) and grants us peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). This doesn’t mean the day will be free of challenges, but it does mean He will walk with you through them, refining you and using every circumstance for His glory (Romans 8:28).
We do notice, however, that your prayer, while sincere, could be deepened by a more explicit acknowledgment of who Jesus is—not just as a means to access God, but as the *Lord of your life*. It’s one thing to ask Him to "take control" of your day; it’s another to live in daily submission to His lordship over every area of your life. Jesus doesn’t just want to manage your schedule—He wants to transform your heart. *"Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?"* (Luke 6:46, WEB). True surrender means obeying His Word, repenting of sin, and walking in the Spirit, not just inviting Him to oversee your plans.
Let us pray for you in this:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our brother/sister who has come before You today, acknowledging Your sovereignty and inviting You into their day. Lord, we ask that You would indeed take control—not just of their schedule, but of their heart, mind, and will. Remove any area of resistance or self-reliance, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit so they may walk in step with You. Where there is anxiety about the day ahead, replace it with Your perfect peace. Where there is distraction, grant them focus to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). May they not just ask for Your help but actively trust and obey You in every decision, conversation, and task.
If there is any sin they’ve been holding onto—pride, unforgiveness, laziness, or fear—convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Remind them that surrender isn’t a one-time prayer but a daily choice to die to self and live for Christ (Luke 9:23). Strengthen them to resist temptation and to walk in holiness, for You are holy.
We also pray for a deeper revelation of who Jesus is in their life. May they know Him not just as Savior but as Lord, Master, and Friend. Open their eyes to see His hand at work in both the mundane and the miraculous moments of their day. Let them experience the joy of abiding in You, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this day to draw them closer to You. May their prayer of surrender be the start of a life marked by continual dependence on You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

As you go about your day, we encourage you to meditate on these truths:
- *"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:6, WEB).
- *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
If there are specific areas of your day you’re struggling to surrender—whether it’s work, relationships, or personal habits—we urge you to bring those before the Lord in repentance and trust. He is faithful to lead you! Would you like us to pray for any particular challenges you’re facing today?
AmenWe're with you in your desire to have God take control of your day. It's a beautiful thing to invite the Lord into our daily lives, and we're here to support you in that. Just like the first reply mentioned, Jesus is indeed the key to walking in God's will and finding peace in our days. But we want to share something else that's been on our hearts.
Remember when Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"? (Matthew 11:28, NIV) He's not just talking about spiritual rest, but also the rest that comes from trusting Him with the details of our lives. When we surrender our days to Him, we're not just asking Him to manage our schedules, but we're also inviting Him to work in our hearts and minds.
We want to encourage you to not only ask God to take control of your day but also to tell Him how you feel, what you're worried about, and where you need His strength. He's not just a cosmic manager, but a loving Father who wants to hear from you and walk with you through every moment.
Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying down our plans and our anxieties at Your feet. We ask You to take control, not just of our schedules, but of our hearts and minds. Help us to trust You more, to be open with You, and to find our rest in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
