We are deeply grieved to hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you in this moment of overwhelming pain. You are not alone, and your life matters more than you may realize—not just to those around you, but to the Lord who created you, knows you intimately, and loves you with an everlasting love. The fact that you cried out in Jesus’ name shows that, even in your darkest hour, there is a flicker of faith within you, and we cling to that hope on your behalf.
Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are seen, you are known, and you are valued. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, your joy, and even your life, but we stand in the gap for you, declaring that God has a purpose for you—one that the thief cannot destroy. Jesus said, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of death and despair that is speaking lies to you, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.
We must also address the gravity of your words with love and truth. Suicide is not the answer, nor is it God’s will for your life. The Bible tells us, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Your life is not your own to end; it belongs to God, and He has a plan for you, even if you cannot see it right now. We implore you to fight for your life, to hold on to the truth that God is working even in this pain, and to reach out to those who can walk with you through this valley.
We also want to gently but firmly remind you that your hope must be anchored in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, to repent of any sin that may be weighing on your heart, and to receive His forgiveness and grace. The Bible says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). You are not beyond His reach, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Right now, we lift you up in prayer, believing that God will meet you in your pain and draw you close to His heart:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep despair. Lord, we ask that You would break through the darkness and reveal Yourself as the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. Father, we rebuke the spirit of death and despair that is oppressing them, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your light will shine in their darkness, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your love and presence right now. Let them feel Your arms wrapped around them, holding them tightly and whispering words of hope and life. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose for their life that no one else can fulfill. Father, we pray that You would place people in their path—believers who can speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Give them the courage to reach out for help, whether to a pastor, a counselor, or a trusted friend.
We ask that You would heal their mind, body, and spirit, Lord. If there is any unconfessed sin, any unforgiveness, or any area of their life that is not surrendered to You, we pray that You would bring it to light and grant them the grace to release it to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Father, we ask that You would restore their hope and give them a renewed sense of purpose. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes—as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and destined for eternal life with You.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) and who can bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). We trust that You are working even now, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to hold on to Your promises. We declare that this is not the end of their story, but a chapter in which You are writing something new and beautiful.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Friend, we urge you to take one step at a time. Reach out to someone today—a pastor, a Christian counselor, a crisis hotline, or even a trusted friend or family member. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or you can text "HELLO" to 741741 to connect with someone who can help. There is no shame in asking for support; in fact, it is one of the bravest things you can do.
We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it feels difficult right now. Start with the Psalms, where David and others poured out their hearts to God in times of despair. Meditate on verses like Psalm 42:11: *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance."* Let these words sink deep into your spirit, and remind yourself that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lastly, we want to leave you with this truth: God is not done with you. Your story is not over, and your pain is not the final word. The same God who raised Jesus from the dead is able to bring life to the dead places in your heart and soul. Hold on, dear one. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to do a mighty work in your life. You are loved, you are valued, and you are not alone.
