Father, Restrain Evil, We Pray FOR ALL in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-4, SALVATION in Jesus' Name... Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining BOTH their APPOINTED TIMES and EXACT BOUNDARIES of their habitation, Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15. Also, "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight," Prov 11:1...

Lifting this burden to YOU asking YOU to restrain the evil one over Several Unruly Countries at present, asking You intercept evil plans, sovereignly, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 9, 27-28, 29-30, 31-32, 33-34, 35-36, 37-38, 39-40, 41-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the NAME of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church ACTUALLY be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, imitating God, Eph 5:1, SINCE YOU EVER LIVE TO MAKE INTERCESSION, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing GOOD and HEALING -- ALL -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a Holy Nation, and Royal Priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. We join you in this burden and agree together before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We stand on the truth that You are sovereign over all nations. He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, Acts 17:26. Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance, Isa 40:15. The heart of a king is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires, Prov 21:1, and there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are ordained by God, Rom 13:1.

We thank you for the call to intercede, for we are instructed, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:1-4. We take this charge seriously and we lift up all those in authority, in our own nation and in those unruly nations where evil seems unrestrained.

Father, we ask You to restrain evil and to frustrate the schemes of the evil one. We are not ignorant of his devices, 2 Cor 2:11, for he was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him, John 8:44. We pray as You taught us, bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. We ask You to expose and intercept evil plans formed in secret, as You did when You revealed the plans of the king of Syria through Elisha, 2 Kings 6:12, and we ask You to bind the spirit of retaliation and violence that stirs rulers and strategists to war and oppression. We remember that the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood the messenger twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help, Dan 10:13, and we know that the battle is not merely against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, Eph 6:12.

We pray for honest and just governance, for dishonest scales are an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight, Prov 11:1. Let righteousness and justice be established, let every false balance and corrupt election and deceitful decree be brought into the light and judged, for You desire truth in the inward parts and You will not be mocked.

We pray above all for salvation for leaders and for peoples, for You desire all people to be saved, 1 Tim 2:4, and Jesus went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him, Acts 10:38. Let praise arise among Your people, for we know You inhabit the praises of Your people and You use worship to drive back darkness, as when the evil spirit departed from Saul when David played, 1 Sam 16:23. From the rising of the sun to its going down Yahweh's name is to be praised, Ps 113:3. Let Your Church rise to be a true help and intercessor, for He ever lives to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, and we are called to be imitators of God, Eph 5:1, and a holy nation, a royal priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9.

Father, we confess our sins and the sins of our nation, as Daniel prayed, Dan 9:20, and we ask for mercy. We thank You that You have given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, Luke 10:19, and that You saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven, Luke 10:18, and will one day bind him with a great chain, Rev 20:2. Until that day, restrain him even now in part by Your sovereign hand, and let Your perfect will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our only Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Rom 10:13. Amen.

We hear how heavy this burden for nations and leaders has been for you, and we are grateful you brought it so faithfully before the Lord. To watch unruly places and to long for evil to be restrained and for those in authority to be guided toward what is good and true is a weight not many are willing to carry in prayer.

We join you in asking God to do what only He can do. He alone sees plans made in secret and He alone can turn hearts and limit harm. Your desire for honest dealings and for the protection of peoples caught in conflict reflects His heart for justice and mercy.

One thing that has helped others who carry a similar burden of intercession is to keep it sustainable. It can help to name the two or three nations or leaders most on your heart right now and bring them before the Lord at a set time each day, rather than trying to hold every crisis at once. If you have a trusted group at church, sharing that short list so you are not praying alone can also lighten the load.

We are praying with you and thank God for your faithfulness to intercede.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to restrain evil and guard those in authority from deception, to lead them away from temptation and toward wisdom, to protect innocent people, and to draw many to salvation in Christ. Give Your church grace to keep interceding with hope. Amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your burden for the nations is a right and scriptural burden, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. You have prayed according to the mind of God, for He would have us make supplications, prayers and intercessions for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We take comfort with you in the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty which you have so well set forth. The nations are indeed as a drop in a bucket and as the small dust of the balance, and the Lord has made of one blood all nations of men and has determined their appointed times and the exact boundaries of their habitation. There is nothing for which the children of God ought more earnestly to contend than the dominion of their Master over all creation, the kingship of God over all the works of His own hands. Under the most adverse circumstances, in the most severe troubles, we believe that Sovereignty has ordained our afflictions, that Sovereignty overrules them, and that Sovereignty will sanctify them all.

You do well to give yourself to that holy work of intercession. There is no power like that of intercession. The secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God's believing people. And wherever you meet with a man who intercedes with God for his fellow men and makes this the main business of his life, you see in him one of the most precious gifts of God's grace to the age in which he lives. It is God that writes intercession upon men's hearts. Will you now cease from intercession? At the borders of the promised land, will you turn back to the wilderness, when God is with us and the standard of a King is in the midst of our armies? Who knows but you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?

We join you in praying that the Lord would restrain evil and spoil the plans of the evil one. As you have said, we are not ignorant of his devices, for he was a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature. We ask with you that the Lord would intercept evil counsel as He did when Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, and that He would bind the spirit of retaliation and restrain the prince of the power of the air, knowing that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We pray, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, and deliver our rulers and their counsellors from the same.

We also pray with you for honest weights and honest elections, for a false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight. May God grant integrity to those who count and to those who govern, and may He give to our nation and to those unruly countries of which you speak, rulers who will do justly and love mercy.

Above all we join you in praying for salvation. The Holy Spirit maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God, and our Lord Jesus ever liveth to make intercession for us. Yet we know His intercession is for His people, for He said, I pray not for the world, but for them which Thou hast given Me. Therefore we must pray that sinners may first be made saints, that they may be brought to know Christ. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world, and hereby we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God. May God in His mercy grant repentance and faith to many among the nations and among those in authority, that they may be saved through His blood alone.

Let us continue with you in this Daniel-like pleading, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, for it is grand praying when our mouth is full of God's own words. You tell the Lord what He Himself has said, and you have Him then. When your prayers seek God's glory, it is God's glory to answer your prayers. When the Church of God cannot take No for an answer, she shall not have No for an answer. Therefore we will wait for You, for You have made all these things.

We exhort you to persevere, to keep your private confessions of sin very explicit, and to plead with God continually, for every man should seem like a crusader besieging Jerusalem, each man determined to storm the Celestial City by the might of intercession. So shall blessings come upon us, so that we shall not have room to receive them.

We bear your burden to the mercy seat with thanksgiving, trusting the Lord who has all power to restrain, to guide, and to save, and we ask all in the precious name of Jesus, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
