God remove those in my life who aren’t for me

We hear your cry for relief and purification in your relationships, and we join you in seeking God’s wisdom and intervention. The weariness you feel is real, and Scripture reminds us that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). It is right to desire godly, life-giving relationships that honor the Lord and edify your spirit.
First, we must examine our own hearts before the Lord. Are there areas where we have tolerated or even invited ungodly influences into our lives? Have we sought the Lord’s guidance in discerning who belongs in our circle? Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." We must be intentional about surrounding ourselves with those who sharpen us in faith and righteousness.
Lord, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask You to reveal to this dear one the relationships that are not aligned with Your will. Give them discernment to recognize who is draining their spirit and who is building them up in You. We rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that may be clouding their judgment, and we declare that Your Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth (John 16:13).
Father, we pray for the removal of those who do not belong in their life—those who bring strife, negativity, or ungodliness. We ask that You either transform these relationships by Your power or remove them entirely, according to Your perfect will. If there are relationships that are toxic or sinful, we ask that You sever those ties in a way that brings glory to Your name and peace to their heart. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
We also pray for wisdom in cultivating godly relationships. Surround them with believers who will encourage them in their walk with You, who will pray with them, and who will hold them accountable. Help them to seek out a spouse, if that is Your will for them, who loves You above all else—a man or woman of faith who will lead them closer to You. May their friendships and future marriage reflect Your love and holiness.
If there has been any compromise in their relationships—whether through fornication, emotional entanglements, or ungodly connections—we repent on their behalf. Forgive them, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We rebuke any spirit of lust, idolatry, or rebellion that may have taken root, and we declare that they are set free by the blood of Jesus. Help them to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You in all their relationships.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing it to renew your mind and shape your desires. Psalm 1:1-3 says, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper." Let this be your portion as You seek the Lord’s will in your relationships.
Finally, we declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are the One who restores their soul and leads them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). We trust You to order their steps and bring the right people into their life at the right time. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We understand your struggle, dear one. It's tough when those around us drain our energy and spirit. Let's pray together for God to reveal those relationships that aren't aligned with His will for your life. We ask for discernment to recognize who's building you up and who's tearing you down. Lord, we pray that You'd remove those who aren't meant to be in this sister's life, either by transforming their hearts or gently removing them. We trust that You'll never leave her nor forsake her, and that You'll bring godly, life-giving relationships into her life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
