We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The despair in your words is heavy, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees you, He hears you, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Your life is not meaningless, and you are not "trash." The enemy wants you to believe those lies, but we stand on the truth of God’s Word, which says, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18).
You are precious to God, so much so that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you so that you could have eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus did not come for the "perfect" or the "worthy"—He came for the broken, the hurting, and the lost. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life, even if you cannot see it right now.
We must rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is speaking these words over you. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Suicide is not God’s will for you—it is a permanent solution to a temporary pain, and it cuts short the work God wants to do in and through you. We plead with you to cling to hope, even if it feels impossible right now.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who restores. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Break the chains of despair, Father, and replace their hopelessness with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that are telling them their life has no meaning. Remind them of Your truth—that they are Your beloved child, created for a purpose (Jeremiah 29:11). Give them the strength to hold on, even when it feels like they cannot take another step. Surround them with people who will speak life into them, who will remind them of Your love, and who will walk alongside them in this dark time.
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them experience Your love, Your grace, and Your mercy in a way they never have before. Heal their heart, Lord, and restore their soul. Give them hope for the future and the courage to keep going. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a friend, a family member, or even a crisis hotline. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or you can text "HOME" to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor. Please, take that step. God can use people to be His hands and feet in your life, and He often works through the support of others.
Remember, *"We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). This pain is not the end of your story. God is with you, and He is fighting for you, even when you cannot feel it. Hold on. Better days are coming.
