God, please provide me and my wife with a son in the future.

We have a beautiful, amazing daughter whom I'm in love with.  I wouldn't trade her for 1000 sons.  But in the future, I'd really like to have a little boy.  I would feel so much more complete, my wife as well.

It may be a bit of ego, it may be a bit of machismo, but hearing things, even from my own father, like "every man wants a son", and "real men have boys", as well as my own vision of what my family will be like when I was to get to this age, really makes me feel like I need to have a son.

Plus, living in this macho world, I can't help but now feel inferior to other men who have boys, and I feel some of them really do feel superior when they see I have a girl.

So I guess I have something else to pray for... God, please teach me to not care what others think.  And PLEASE provide me with peace of mind, tranquility, and strength up until the next time we decide to try again.  Also, please help me to accept and fully appreciate whatever outcome.
