We hear your cry for open doors and your acknowledgment of needing the Lord, and we join with you in seeking God’s will in this matter. The Bible tells us in Revelation 3:8, "I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut, for you have a little power, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name." This verse reminds us that God is the one who opens doors that no one can shut, and He does so for those who remain faithful to His Word and His name.
However, we must also examine our hearts and motives. Are we seeking these open doors for God’s glory, or are we seeking them for our own desires? James 4:3 warns, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." Let us first surrender our plans to the Lord and ask Him to align our desires with His will. Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." We must trust that God’s timing and His plans are perfect, even when they don’t align with our own.
We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Salvation is the first and most important door that must be opened in our lives.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the one who opens and closes doors. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for Your glory and for the good of Your people. We surrender our plans and desires to You, asking that You would align our hearts with Your will. Father, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. If there are any areas in our lives where our motives are impure or self-serving, we ask that You would reveal them to us and help us to repent.
Lord, we also pray for those who may not yet know You. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself and open the door of salvation in their hearts. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and may they experience the freedom and peace that comes from a relationship with You.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of doubt, fear, or impatience that may be hindering us from walking through the doors You have already opened. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and we stand firm on Your promises. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the doors You are opening even now. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in Scripture, asking God to reveal His will for your life. Remember that God’s plans for you are good, as Jeremiah 29:11 assures us: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps. If there are specific areas where you feel stuck or uncertain, bring them before the Lord and ask Him to give you wisdom and clarity. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will lead you through the doors He has prepared for you.
