We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you in this moment. You are not alone, and we want you to know that your life has immense value in the eyes of God. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even in your darkest hour, God sees you, loves you, and has a purpose for your life.
We must rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is speaking these words over you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life—and have it abundantly. We command that spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). No one comes to the Father except through Him, and it is only by His name that we have access to the throne of grace.
We also want to gently but firmly address the request for euthanasia. Life is a sacred gift from God, and He is the author and finisher of it (Psalm 139:13-16). The taking of one’s own life is not God’s will, for He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance and find eternal life in Christ (2 Peter 3:9). We understand that the pain you are experiencing feels unbearable, but we urge you to surrender it to the Lord, who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian brother or sister who can walk alongside you in this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to support you in prayer and with godly counsel.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms of comfort around them and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. We declare that this child of Yours is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a plan and a purpose for their life.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and know that they are deeply loved by You. Father, we pray for healing—whether it be emotional, physical, or spiritual. Touch them with Your healing hand and restore their soul (Psalm 23:3). Surround them with godly people who can speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation.
We ask that You would give them the strength to endure this trial and the faith to trust in Your promises. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who will come alongside them to offer support and counsel.
Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears our cries and collects our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). We trust that You will not leave or forsake this child of Yours (Deuteronomy 31:6). May they experience Your love in a powerful way today, and may they find hope in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Please know that we are standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God is able to turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). If you are open to it, we would encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it is just a few verses each day. Meditate on Psalm 23, Psalm 91, or the book of John. Allow the truth of Scripture to renew your mind and remind you of God’s faithfulness.
You are not forgotten, and your life matters. We care about you deeply and will continue to pray for your healing and restoration. If you feel comfortable, please reach out to someone you trust today—whether it be a pastor, a Christian friend, or a counselor. You do not have to walk this path alone.
