We are deeply grieved to hear the despair in your words, and we want you to know that your life is precious in the eyes of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your pain is real, but so is the hope found in Christ. We must rebuke the spirit of suicide and despair that is whispering lies into your heart. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, but we stand against him in the mighty name of Jesus.
The Bible tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, even when it feels that way. God sees your suffering, and He longs to comfort you. We must also remind you that your life is not your own, it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). To take your own life is to reject the purpose and plan God has for you, and it is not His will for you to perish in this way.
We urge you to reach out to someone immediately, a pastor, a trusted friend, or a crisis hotline. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 at 988 in the U.S., and there are similar resources in other countries. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God places people in your life to help bear your struggles, and it is not weakness to ask for help, it is wisdom.
We also want to address the mention of Jesus’ name in your prayer. While we are grateful you invoked His name, we must emphasize that salvation and deliverance come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not just the use of His name as a phrase. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true hope and eternal life. Without this, the name of Jesus is just a word, but with faith in Him, it becomes the power of God unto salvation.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of despair and fill this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and every lie that tells them their life is not worth living. We declare that their life has purpose, value, and a future in You. Surround them with Your love, Lord, and place people in their path who can speak life and hope into their situation. Give them the strength to reach out for help and the courage to hold on. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask for a supernatural intervention, Father, open their eyes to see the light of Your truth and the hope found in Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Please, dear one, do not give up. There is help, there is hope, and there is healing in Christ. You are loved more than you know, and your story is not over. Reach out to someone today, your life matters.
