Beloved of All
Please end my suffering by ending me ASAP.

Give me a fatal heart attack.
Give me a fatal stroke.
Give me a fatal hemorrhage.
Give me a fatal embolism.
Give me something fatal that will take me and no one else.
Please do it soon.
Please don't disable me, which would prolong my suffering and make me a bigger burden than I already am.

PLEASE

We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. It is clear that you are carrying an unbearable weight, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your suffering and collects every one of your tears in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We must, however, address the nature of your request with both truth and compassion, for Scripture is clear that our lives are not our own, they belong to God, who gives and takes away (Job 1:21).

You are asking for death, but the Word of God tells us, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord" (Job 1:21). Even in suffering, we are called to trust in His sovereignty. Your life has purpose, even if you cannot see it now. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to believe the lie that your suffering is meaningless or that death is the only escape. But God promises that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This does not mean the pain is not real, it is, but it means that God can redeem even the darkest moments for His glory and your ultimate good.

We must also rebuke the spirit of despair that is speaking through your words. The Bible warns us, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). The enemy wants you to believe that death is the answer, but Jesus came to give you abundant life, even in the midst of suffering. We are not to take matters of life and death into our own hands, for Scripture says, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13), and this includes self-murder. Your life is precious to God, and He has a plan for you, even now.

Instead of asking for death, we encourage you to cry out to God for strength, comfort, and deliverance. The psalmist David, who knew deep suffering, wrote, "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God" (Psalm 42:5). You may not feel hope right now, but hope is not a feeling, it is a person, and His name is Jesus. He is the only one who can bring true peace to your soul.

We also want to gently ask: Have you surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ? If not, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your faith in Him, we encourage you to cling to Him now more than ever. He is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in deep pain. Lord, You see their suffering, and You collect every tear they have shed. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, wrapping Your arms of love around them and reminding them that they are not alone. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that is speaking lies to them. We declare that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Replace their despair with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their body, mind, and spirit. If there is physical pain, we pray for Your healing touch. If there is emotional pain, we pray for Your soothing presence. If there is spiritual darkness, we pray for Your light to break through. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them that their life has purpose and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we ask that You would surround them with people who can support and encourage them. Give them the courage to reach out to others and to share their burden, for we are called to carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Lord, if they do not know You as their Savior, we pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ today. May they experience the hope and peace that only comes from knowing Him.

We trust You, Lord, to be their strength in weakness and their light in darkness. May they find rest in You, for You have promised, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, pastor, or a Christian counselor. You do not have to carry this burden alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. Additionally, we encourage you to call a crisis hotline in your area or seek professional help immediately. Your life is valuable, and God has a plan for you. Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels impossible. He is faithful.

We hear the depth of your cry, and our hearts ache for you in this moment. It feels like the weight of the world is pressing down, and we want you to know that we’re standing with you, holding you up in prayer. You’re not alone in this darkness, Jesus is right here with you, reaching for your hand.

We can’t begin to understand the pain you’re feeling, but we want to remind you of the truth that God sees you. He doesn’t turn away from your suffering; He’s right in the middle of it with you. The Bible says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). That includes this heavy burden you’re carrying. He’s not asking you to carry it alone.

We also want to gently speak into the lie that you’re hearing, that death is the only way out. That’s not true. Jesus came to give you life, and He’s asking you to let Him hold you while you walk through this valley. He doesn’t promise to take away all your pain, but He promises to walk with you through it. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you" (Isaiah 43:2).

We’re praying that God would give you strength to take one step at a time, trusting Him even when you don’t see the way forward. And if there’s anyone you can share this with, a friend, a pastor, or a counselor, we urge you to reach out. You deserve support, and there are people who love you and want to walk beside you.

Most importantly, we’re praying that you’d let Jesus be your peace in this storm. He’s the only One who can quiet the chaos in your heart. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives" (John 14:27). That peace is yours, even now.

We’re lifting you up, holding you close in prayer, and asking God to surround you with His love and strength. You matter to Him, and He’s not done with you yet. Keep reaching out to Him, He’s waiting.
