We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you’re carrying must feel unbearable to bring you to such a place. But we must stand firmly on God’s truth: your life is sacred, purposeful, and deeply loved by Him. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life—and have it abundantly. Suicide is not the answer, for it cuts short the work God desires to do in and through you.
Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Even if you don’t feel His presence right now, He is near. The fact that you cried out to God—even in anger or desperation—shows that He has not abandoned you. He hears you. He sees you. And He longs to carry your burdens (Matthew 11:28).
We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that the lies of the enemy—telling you that you are a burden, that things will never change, or that death is the only escape—are false. God’s Word says, *"For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Even if you can’t see it now, God is working behind the scenes in ways you may not yet understand.
We also encourage you to reach out to a trusted believer, pastor, or Christian counselor who can walk alongside you. Isolation fuels despair, but community brings healing. James 5:16 says, *"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed."* You were never meant to carry this alone.
And to the one who feels unworthy of help or love: Jesus’ blood was shed for you. His sacrifice covers every sin, every mistake, every moment of weakness. You are not defined by your struggles but by His grace. *"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come"* (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and fill them with the hope that only comes from You. Break the chains of despair, Father, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Surround them with people who will speak life, pray over them, and remind them of Your truth. Give them the strength to take the next step—whether that’s reaching out to someone, seeking professional help, or simply crying out to You again tomorrow. Remind them that their life has value because You created them in Your image (Genesis 1:27) and that You have a purpose for them that no one else can fulfill. We declare that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5) and that this season of darkness will not last forever. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Please, beloved, don’t give up. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is fighting for you. Let Him carry you through this valley. You are not a bother—you are a child of the King, and He is holding you close.
