Beloved of All
Reasons to take me:
1. I WANT TO GO.
2. I have no reason to stay.
3. I'm in pain. My death will stop my pain.
4. I'm afraid. My death will end my fear.
5. I have no purpose.
6. I'm a burden. My death will free up resources better used elsewhere.
7. It will save government money.
8. Dying is my patriotic duty, to save government money. You will help me fulfill my patriotic duty.
9. Life in my little corner of world will be better.
10. ### in charge will have one less person opposing them.
11. My death will free me.
12. It's way past time for me to go.
13. I have given up.
14. I will stop begging you to take me. You will be freed up from hearing my pleas to hear from people who matter (I don't matter) to do things that matter.
15. I have nothing left to give.
16. I'm trash/garbage. My death will make my little corner of the world a little cleaner.
17. I cannot handle what is happening in the US/world.
18. I want no part of what the ### are doing.
19. If you end me, I won't need to end myself.
20. If you end me, the ### won't need to euthanize me (putting my blood on their hands) when they implement euthanasia to save government money.
21. To get rid of an "evil demon" (per the POTUS' campaign rhetoric, anyone who opposes him is evil and democrats are demonic - this makes me an evil demon).
22. I've had enough of life. I don't want any more of it.
23. There will be one less person that the POTUS' supporters don't like. They won't need to harass me whenever he gets around to targeting people without wealth/power/fame/influence who he thinks are his enemies.
24. To remove a person (ie, me) who is unwelcome: While I'm white, straight, cisgender and mostly able bodied, I'm not a neurotypical wealthy ultra conservative republican Christian (not their kind of Christian anyhow) man who loves the POTUS and his policies, who essentially worships the wealthy and big corporations because they can do no wrong, and who blame the poor and sick for their circumstances. Oh, and who think women are property and are supposed to be submissive subservient obedient silent livestock bearing as many children as men decide to impregnate them with (I'm past childbearing age, and so may not have a purpose in their world anyway). Only people who check ALL the boxes are really welcome here; the rest of us are screwed to varying degrees.
25. I'M READY TO GO

Reasons for me to stay:
(THERE ARE NONE)

We hear your cry, and our hearts break for the depth of pain and despair you are carrying. You are not trash, you are not garbage, and you *do* matter—deeply—to the God who formed you in your mother’s womb and knows the number of hairs on your head (Psalm 139:13-16). The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that your life has no value, no purpose, and no hope, but that is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Jesus came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10), and He is not finished with you yet.

The pain you describe is real, and we do not dismiss it. But we must rebuke the spirit of death that is whispering these lies to you. Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary, though agonizing, struggle. The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy wants you to believe that death is the only escape, but God promises that His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not a burden—you are a child of the Most High God, and He carries you in His arms (Isaiah 46:4).

We must also address the political and cultural frustrations you’ve expressed. It is clear that the division, hatred, and dehumanization in this world have wounded you deeply. But we must remember that our hope is not in governments, leaders, or political parties—our hope is in Christ alone. The world will continue to be broken, but Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). You are not defined by the labels or boxes others try to put you in. You are defined by the love of God, who sent His Son to die for you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8). That is the only identity that truly matters.

You mentioned that you have given up, but we urge you to cling to the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Even when you feel like you have nothing left to give, God can use your weakness to display His strength. The apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord three times to remove his "thorn in the flesh," but God’s response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). Your pain does not disqualify you—it is often the very thing God uses to draw others to Himself.

We must also gently but firmly correct the idea that your death would be a patriotic duty or a way to "save government money." Your life is not measured by its cost or its productivity. You are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and your worth is not determined by any earthly system or standard. The enemy would love for you to believe that your death would somehow be noble or selfless, but the truth is that it would leave behind a wake of grief for those who love you, even if you don’t see it now. God has a purpose for you, even if it is not yet clear to you.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian friend who can walk with you through this darkness. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons, but God designed us to live in community (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). You do not have to carry this alone. There are people who care about you, even if you don’t feel it right now.

Most importantly, we must address the absence of hope in your words. You ended your prayer in "Jesus’ name," but your reasons for wanting to die reflect a heart that has lost sight of the hope found only in Him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and no one comes to the Father except through Him. If you have never truly surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If you are already a believer, we pray that the Holy Spirit would revive your heart and remind you of the hope you have in Him.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and death that is attacking them, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that their life has value, purpose, and meaning because You created them, and You love them with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). Father, we ask that You would break the chains of hopelessness and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we pray that You would open their eyes to see the lies they have believed and replace them with Your truth. Help them to remember that You have plans for them—plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when they cannot see it, we pray that You would reveal Your purpose for their life in this season. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. Bring people into their life who can speak life, truth, and encouragement to them.

Father, we ask that You would heal their emotional and physical pain. You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust You to bring comfort and restoration. Give them the strength to take one day at a time, and remind them that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Break down the walls of pride, bitterness, or unbelief that may be keeping them from fully embracing Your love. Let them experience the freedom and joy that comes from knowing You as their Savior and Lord. If they are already Your child, we pray that You would renew their faith and restore their hope. Remind them of the promises in Your Word and help them to stand firm in the truth.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears our cries and collects our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not distant or indifferent to their pain—You are right there with them, holding them and sustaining them. We trust You to work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when they cannot see how that is possible. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust You with their life, their future, and their eternity.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We urge you to hold on, dear one. The night may feel endless, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). You are not alone, and you are not forgotten. God sees you, He loves you, and He is fighting for you. Please reach out to someone today—a pastor, a counselor, a friend—and let them help carry this burden with you. You are worth fighting for.

Dear friend, we hear your cry and our hearts ache for the depth of pain and despair you're carrying. We want you to know that you are not alone, and that your life matters deeply to God and to us. We're here for you, and we want to walk through this darkness with you.

We understand that life can feel overwhelming, and it's easy to feel like there's no way out. But we want to remind you that there is always hope in Jesus Christ. He loves you so much that He died on the cross for your sins, and He wants to give you a purposeful and meaningful life.

We know that you're feeling a lot of pain, and it's okay to not be okay all the time. It's okay to ask for help. There are people who care about you and want to support you. Please reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or friend. You don't have to go through this alone.

We also want to encourage you to hold on to the truth that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. Even when you can't see it, He is working things out for your good. Trust in Him, and let His love and grace be your strength.

Please, don't give up. There is always hope in Jesus. He is the light in the darkness, and He will never leave you or forsake you. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to turn this situation around for your good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
