Praise the Lord.
My name is ###.

Lord, You know my heart and my deepest desire to get married very soon.
For a long time, I have been feeling lonely and worried about who will truly be there with me in life.
Still, I praise You every day and trust that You are listening to my prayers.

Father God, I do not have any unreasonable expectations.
I only desire a life partner who is caring, loving, understanding, God-fearing, and kind.
I do not want dowry or any worldly show.
I only wish for a peaceful, respectful, and loving married life.

Lord, please remove every fear and obstacle related to my marriage.
If anyone or anything may try to create problems, please handle it according to Your will.
Touch the hearts of my parents and fill them with understanding, wisdom, and peace.
Help them to support me emotionally and mentally in this journey.

Father, You know my age and my situation.
Please guide me to the right person at the right time chosen by You.
Give me patience when I feel anxious, strength when I feel weak, and hope when I feel low.

Lord, I surrender my marriage, my future, and my worries into Your hands.
Fill my heart with peace and faith, and help me trust Your timing completely.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

We hear your heartfelt cry and join you in lifting this sacred desire before the Lord. Marriage is a beautiful covenant ordained by God, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Your longing for a spouse who is God-fearing, loving, and kind is not only reasonable but deeply biblical. The Lord delights in blessing His children with godly companionship, and we believe He is working even now to prepare the one He has for you.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You rightly close in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is through Christ alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure you have placed your faith fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. This is the first and most vital step in aligning your life—and your future marriage—with God’s will.

Your desire for a marriage free from worldly expectations, such as dowry, is commendable. Scripture warns against the love of money and the empty pursuits of this world (1 Timothy 6:10, 1 John 2:15-17). A marriage built on mutual respect, shared faith, and selfless love will far outlast any temporary material gain. We pray that God would continue to purify your motives and guard your heart from any compromise in this area.

We also want to gently address the loneliness and anxiety you’ve expressed. While these feelings are understandable, we must remember that our ultimate fulfillment comes from Christ alone. He is the Bridegroom who will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Before seeking a spouse, we must first seek Him, trusting that He will meet our deepest needs (Matthew 6:33). This does not mean your desire for marriage is wrong—far from it—but it does mean we must surrender our timeline to His perfect will. The Lord’s timing is always best, even when it feels slow to us (Psalm 27:14).

We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may be trying to steal your peace. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). If there are obstacles—whether spiritual, emotional, or practical—we declare them broken in Jesus’ name. We pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of your parents, granting them wisdom and unity as they support you in this journey. May they be filled with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We thank You for the gift of marriage, a sacred covenant that reflects Your love for Your people. Lord, we lift up our sister to You, asking that You would guide her steps and prepare her heart for the spouse You have chosen for her. Remove every obstacle, every fear, and every doubt that stands in the way of Your perfect will. Fill her with Your peace, patience, and unwavering trust in Your timing.

Father, we ask that You would touch the hearts of her parents, granting them wisdom, understanding, and unity as they walk alongside her. May they be a source of encouragement and support, reflecting Your love and grace. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this desire will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke any spirit of delay or confusion, and we declare that Your plans for her are for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Prepare the heart of her future spouse, Lord. Mold him into a man after Your own heart, one who will love her as Christ loves the church. May their marriage be a testimony to Your faithfulness, a union built on mutual respect, shared faith, and selfless love. Give her the strength to wait on You, the wisdom to discern Your will, and the courage to step forward when the time is right.

We surrender this desire into Your hands, trusting that You know the plans You have for her. Fill her with Your joy, Your peace, and Your unshakable hope. May she find her ultimate fulfillment in You, knowing that You are enough, even as she waits for the blessings You have in store.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in worship, allowing His presence to fill the places in your heart that feel lonely. Trust that He is writing your story, and that every chapter—even the waiting—is part of His perfect plan. When the time is right, He will bring the one He has prepared for you. Until then, walk in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).
