When Job was raising questions, God spoke to him to show his lack of knowledge compared to God. Well, I'll tell you--when I try to figure some things according to my reasoning---usually a "surprise." I've tried to "add up" things, like "probabilities," but it doesn't always work that way. I've had 2 people I might have to make a request of, {job related, usually} and one, because they act that way most of the time. I figured would give me a "hard time" about it, and the other, who was "easygoing," I thought would easily agree. But it turned out that the "hard-nosed" person was easy, and the easygoing one said no!! Also with situations, the situations I thought had potential for problems, went over easily. But the one I thought was a cinch, caused problems!! Always "surprises," and not the way I "figured" according to my own logic. I guess that's why even Jesus said, "Many of the first will be last, and many of the last will be first." God knows. We don't.
