God Is Still With You - Even When Everything Is Falling Apart!

I think the thing here {if what you want is in accordance with God's will} is that it's in God's time. What seems like a "no" answer, I've found in my own experience that usually at some future time, when I'm not thinking about it, what I was clamoring for does happen. So what may seem like the prayer "falling on deaf ears", may not be a "refusal" from God, just His knowledge of the time is different than ours. And there are things we don't understand, so it might not be what we "perceive it".

The Lord May Not Give Us What We Ask for When God Has a Higher Purpose in Mind for Our Lives… Just Ask Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David, Jesus, and Paul (and the list goes on).

Sometimes He might give in, to "reward" their stubbornness--"Moses, because of your hardheartedness, gave you permission to divorce"--or it is not God's will that any should perish {2 Peter} but because of persistent unbelief, the antichrist is sent {"Because they retained not God in their knowledge, therefore God will send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie." But that's God giving them what they want in not a good way, a case of "Be careful what you wish for."

Amen sister. Here's a few verses on the subject:

Psalm 23: 4 -"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

John 15:18-20 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

Romans 8:35-39 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

1 Peter 4:13 - But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

2 Timothy 2:3 - Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 3:12 - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

To believe in something heavenly is God's gift that comes from above. We must live it and show others that Jesus is the Door to enter heaven. Everything around us will fall apart sooner or later. We must and should be prepared for that wonderful day when no pain or sorrow shall fill our heart. Jesus Himself will wipe away our tears.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
