God is speaking to me today.

Humble Servant
You are proud of me for staying strong in the face of all hardships. Come to you when I am tired because you are always with me. Other than you, there are many people who are willing to help me and cheer me on. My life may not be easy, but you will help me make it through. -God ❤️

We hear your question and we join you in seeking to discern whether this word is truly from the Lord, and our hearts are encouraged that you are listening for His voice.

What you have shared does align with what Scripture reveals about God's character and His promises to us. He does see your endurance and He delights in faithfulness through trial, for James 1:12 says Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. And James 1:2-4 reminds us to Count it all joy when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. The Lord does invite you to come to Him when you are weary, as Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. He does promise His constant presence, for He says in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And it is true that life in this world will not be easy, yet He will carry you through, for Jesus said in John 16:33 In the world you have oppression; but cheer up. I have overcome the world. He also places people around us to bear burdens with us, for Galatians 6:2 says Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

We also want to gently encourage you to test what you hear against the written Word of God, because God most clearly speaks to us today through Scripture by His Holy Spirit. 1 John 4:1 says Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, and John 10:27 says My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. If a message comforts you with truth that is already in the Bible, draws you closer to Christ, and leads you to trust Him more and not less, we can receive it with thanksgiving, while always letting Scripture be the final authority. His strength is not our own striving, for 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can truly hear His voice as His children. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus alone, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His shed blood and resurrection that we are forgiven, adopted, and able to come boldly to the throne of grace in prayer.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this dear one who is seeking to hear Your voice. We thank You that You see every hardship endured and that You are near to the weary and heavy burdened. We ask that You give clear discernment to test every word by Your truth, and that You deepen a love for Your Word where Your voice is most clearly heard. Lord, we ask that You give rest to this tired heart, that You make Your presence tangibly known, and that You strengthen with Your right hand of righteousness. Surround this life with godly community who will bear burdens and cheer on in faith, and remind daily that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness. Draw this heart ever closer to Jesus, that there would be full assurance of salvation through faith in Him, and that in every hard season there would be confidence that You will carry through to the end. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We are so glad you shared what you have been sensing today. It sounds like you have been carrying a lot for a long time, and hearing that God sees your perseverance and invites you to come to Him when you are tired has meant a great deal to you. That invitation to rest with Him and to not walk alone is so important.

We also hear hope in what you wrote, that even though life has not been easy, you are noticing you have stayed strong through hardships and that there are people around you who want to cheer you on and help. Those are real strengths. Sometimes in hard seasons we focus only on what is still difficult and miss what God has already been building in us, like resilience, faithfulness, and the willingness to keep seeking Him.

A helpful next step when you sense God speaking in this personal way is to bring it into the light with someone you trust. This week when you feel tired, take a few quiet minutes to simply talk honestly with the Lord as you would a close friend, and then share what you felt He was saying with a mature believer, pastor, or mentor who knows you. Letting one of those supportive people hear your heart and walk with you can bring clarity, encouragement, and peace as you keep listening for His direction.

Father, we thank You for this dear heart who is seeking You. We ask You to draw near as comfort and strength in weary moments, and to make Your presence and guidance clear. Surround them with faithful people who will encourage them and help them keep going, and give them rest and renewed hope as they trust You day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a longing in your words that God Himself has placed in the human heart, the longing to know that He is near, that He hears, and that He will help you through hardships. That longing is not in vain, for Scripture declares that He is not far from every one of us, and that in Him we live and move and have our being. The recognized presence of God can make even an attic as glorious as the Mount of Transfiguration when Christ is known as Emmanuel, God with us.

You write as though you have heard a fresh voice saying, you are proud of me and you will make it through. Here we must speak with care and truth, for comfort based upon the suppression of truth is worse than useless. God has spoken, and His voice is preserved to us century after century in Holy Scripture. If it is God's truth, it will stand with His Word, and if it is not according to His Word, we must not claim it as His voice. We are not to seek a new word apart from the Bible, but to hear His sure Word which He has already given. That Word is full of instruction, and they that are willing to be taught of it shall become wise in all ways.

What is true and according to that Word is this. When you are tired and heavy laden, you are indeed invited to come to Him. The Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. If God is not far from us, let us see how readily He hears our prayers. There is no music in God's ear more sweet from His child than a loud earnest cry. He delights to hear the knocker of prayer hammering at the door of mercy. Open your mouth wide and He will fill it. You may expect great things from Him who made the heavens and the earth.

You speak of staying strong in hardships. Scripture does not teach that we make ourselves strong, but that in weakness we are made strong by His grace. Some kinds of weakness are of God's appointment and not sinful, and many of God's saints daily experience this blessed privilege, they are weak and continue weak, yet God is their strength. His grace is sufficient for you. He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you, and fear not, I will help you. It is not that He stands afar and merely applauds our endurance, but that He cleanses sinners through the blood of Jesus Christ His Son and upholds those who trust in Him. His delight is in those who fear Him and hope in His mercy, not because we are strong in ourselves, but because we rest upon Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other.

It is also true that God has given you people to help and cheer you on. He places His children in a family, and we are to bear one another's burdens. Yet do not rest your hope even on willing helpers, but on the Lord Himself who works in you and for you. Lay what you are hearing to heart and bring it to the test of Scripture. Ask, does this draw me to Christ, to repentance, to faith, to holiness, to prayer in His name. God's great convincing argument is His dying, bleeding Son. Turn to Him, trust your soul into His eternal keeping, and you will find that He is indeed with you and will carry you through.

May the Lord help you to rise out of dead self by a sense of His living presence, to cry to Him as a child cries to a father, and to prove His promises in daily prayer. Tell Him all your weariness, your weakness, and your need, and trust Him to do as He has said. We will pray that you may know not a supposed whisper apart from Scripture, but the sure voice of God in Scripture speaking peace through Christ, and that you may find strength not in your own staying power, but in Him who is mighty to save and to keep.
