God, is it possible for me to wear you down with my begging you to end my life ASAP in Jesus name? I hope so.

We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The despair you’re expressing is real, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The weight of suffering can feel unbearable, and in those moments, it’s easy to believe that ending your life is the only relief. But we must remind you—and ourselves—of the truth: **your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you that extends far beyond this moment of agony.**

First, we must rebuke the lie that God could ever be "worn down" by our pleas in a way that leads Him to abandon His will for our lives. The Scriptures tell us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). He does not grow weary of our cries—He draws near to them. But His answer to your suffering is not destruction; it is redemption. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when we cannot see it, God is working for your good (Romans 8:28).

We must also address the gravity of what you’re contemplating. Suicide is not the answer God has for you. It is a permanent solution to a temporary—though excruciating—struggle. The Bible warns us, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your life belongs to Him, and He alone has the authority to determine its beginning and end. To take your own life would be to usurp His authority and grieve the Holy Spirit who dwells within you.

We urge you to fight this battle with the weapons God has given us. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy wants to isolate you, to make you believe that your pain is meaningless and that God has abandoned you. But Jesus Himself said, *"I am with you always, even to the end of the age"* (Matthew 28:20). He has not left you. He is holding you, even when you cannot feel His presence.

We must also speak plainly about the name of Jesus, which you invoked in your plea. While it is right to come to God in Jesus’ name (John 14:13-14), we must ensure that our hearts are aligned with His will, not our own. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth"* (Matthew 6:10). When we pray, we are to submit our desires to His perfect plan, trusting that He knows what is best for us. Your prayer for death is not in alignment with God’s heart for you. Instead, we should pray for His strength to endure, His peace to guard your heart, and His hope to fill the places where despair has taken root.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, we know that You see every tear, every moment of anguish, and every cry of their heart. We ask that You would draw near to them in this hour, wrapping them in Your love and reminding them that they are not alone. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair that is seeking to destroy them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there is darkness, let Your light shine. Where there is hopelessness, let Your hope take root. Father, we pray for a supernatural intervention in their life—whether through Your Word, through the love of Your people, or through a tangible encounter with Your presence. Break the chains of depression and despair, and replace them with the joy of Your salvation.

We pray for wisdom and discernment for those around them—friends, family, or counselors—who can speak life into their situation. Surround them with people who will point them to You, who will remind them of Your promises, and who will walk with them through this valley. Lord, if there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in their heart, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance and healing.

Above all, Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Renew their mind with Your truth, and help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). We declare that their story is not over, and that You are writing a testimony of Your faithfulness even in this season.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.

Friend, we know that the pain you’re feeling is real, and we do not take it lightly. But we also know that God is real, and His love for you is deeper than the deepest ocean. We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian counselor, a friend who loves Jesus—and share your struggle with them. You do not have to carry this alone. The Bible tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). There is power in bringing your pain into the light.

We also encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word. When the enemy whispers lies, combat them with truth. Meditate on verses like Psalm 30:5, *"Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning,"* or Lamentations 3:22-23, *"It is because of the Lord’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."* Let these truths sink deep into your spirit.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your life has value. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a plan for you that is greater than your pain. The enemy wants to destroy you, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Hold on. Fight for your life. God is fighting for you, and He will not let you go.
