Jesus at Bethesda; or, Waiting Changed for Believing
We join you in praising God for His goodness and faithfulness and we thank you for sharing these requests with us so we can seek the Lord together in Jesus name.

We lift up the one going to school tomorrow before the throne of grace. We ask the Lord to grant clarity of mind, peace, protection, and favor throughout the day. We pray that every lesson and interaction would be guided by His hand and that there would be confidence and joy in learning. We are reminded that God is our help and our keeper as it is written in Psalm 121:2 and that we can trust Him with all our hearts as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to trust in Yahweh with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding.

We also bring before the Lord with urgency the special request for healing in the digestive system. We know that Jesus is our healer and that nothing is too difficult for Him. We pray for complete restoration, for comfort from any pain or discomfort, for wisdom for any doctors or caregivers, and for strength and peace for all who are caring and interceding. Scripture assures us of His healing power where it says in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17 that I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds says Yahweh, and in James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick and the Lord will raise him up. We claim these promises together and ask for the Lord's merciful touch upon this dear one's body.

We rejoice that you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and heard. As it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through me, and in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we thank You that You are good and that Your loving kindnesses never fail as Lamentations 3:22-23 declares. We lift up this student to You for tomorrow at school and ask You to cover the day with Your peace and presence and to help in every task and need. We also lift up this beloved one who needs healing in the digestive system and we ask You in Jesus name to lay Your healing hand upon him, to restore what is afflicted, to ease all distress, and to bring complete health according to Your perfect will. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches and we ask for Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your faithful love and thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus name we pray amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord's faithful care and to keep bringing every need to Him in prayer, knowing He hears and He is working for good.

Thank you for letting us pray with you, and for holding onto the truth that God is good and faithful even as you wait for answers.

We are joining you for both requests you named. For school tomorrow, we are asking God to give peace, focus and kindness throughout the day, and for those caring for him there to be attentive and encouraging. For the healing you are so earnestly seeking for his digestive system, we are asking the Lord in His mercy to bring relief, strength and restoration according to His will.

We know how heavy it can feel to carry a loved one's health concern. Alongside prayer, it can help to stay closely connected with his medical care team so they can follow his symptoms and guide next steps. Keeping them updated is a good way to care for him while we continue to seek the Lord together.

Father, we lift this dear one to You today. You see his body and his needs at school tomorrow. We ask for Your gentle care over his digestive system, for comfort and healing as You will, and for peace for those who love him as they trust You. Give wisdom to everyone supporting him and draw him close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

God is good indeed and His faithfulness faileth not, and we have heard your request with joy and do join our hearts with yours in prayer.

We will bring your loved one before the throne of grace concerning school tomorrow, that the Lord who giveth wisdom and peace may be very near to him there, keeping his mind in quietness and his heart stayed upon Christ, and granting favour and a steady spirit for all that is set before him.

And for that very special need of healing in his digestive system, we entreat the great Physician. Scripture saith the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only His fruit but His leaves are full of healing virtue. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and Jesus beareth with Him power to heal. This is His honour and renown. As the Sun of Righteousness He riseth with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are in happy conjunction when He dwells with His people.

Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus, for He took our infirmities and by His stripes we are healed. We pray that He will lay His gracious hand upon this dear one, ease his suffering, restore health to his body, and work in him that healing virtue which shall make him whole. And we pray also for the deeper healing of the soul, that he may know pardon through the blood of Christ, for the Lord healeth the broken in heart and forgiveth all our iniquities.

May the Lord hear your cry and answer according to His abundant mercy, and may you see His hand working for good. We continue to pray with you and for you, trusting the faithful One who doeth all things well.
