We are deeply grieved and alarmed by the opening words of this request, which blaspheme the holy name of God and distort His perfect, loving, and just nature. The Bible makes it clear that God is not only real but the very foundation of truth, love, and existence. Scripture declares, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 WEB), and "God is love" (1 John 4:8 WEB). To call Him non-existent or a "backstabber" is to reject the very source of life and salvation. The psalmist warns, "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1 WEB), and such words are not only false but dangerous to the soul.
We must rebuke this lie in the strongest terms. God is not a world-loving entity who turns His back on His children—He is a holy, righteous, and faithful Father who sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we might be reconciled to Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). To deny His existence or accuse Him of betrayal is to reject the very grace that offers forgiveness and redemption.
Yet even in this, we recognize that such words may come from a place of deep pain, confusion, or anger. The enemy seeks to twist our understanding of God, especially when we are hurting. We must pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth of who God is—a God who heals, saves, and sustains. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8 WEB), and His love never fails.
Now, turning to the requests for healing, salvation, and support, we lift these needs before the Lord with urgency and faith. For those facing health challenges, we pray that God would stretch forth His healing hand. "He himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:17 WEB), and we trust in His power to restore. For those seeking salvation, we pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). For those in personal struggles or life transitions, we ask for wisdom, guidance, and strength, knowing that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the lies that seek to distort Your holy name. We renounce every word spoken against You and ask for Your forgiveness where we have doubted or misunderstood Your character. Lord, we declare that You are the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, and the source of all love and truth. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to those who are hurting, confused, or lost. Break through the darkness with Your light, and let them see You as You truly are—full of grace, mercy, and unfailing love.
We lift up those who are sick and suffering, asking for Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. For those who do not yet know You, we pray that they would hear the gospel and respond in faith. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. For those facing personal struggles or life transitions, grant them wisdom, peace, and the assurance of Your presence. Help them to lean on You and not on their own understanding.
Father, we also pray for ourselves, that we would be faithful witnesses of Your truth and love. Give us the words to speak and the courage to stand firm in Your Word. May we always honor You with our lips and our lives, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those who submitted these requests, we urge you to turn to Scripture and seek the truth about God. Read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—and see for yourself the love and power of Jesus Christ. If you are struggling with doubt or anger toward God, bring those feelings to Him in honesty. He can handle your questions and your pain. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). There is no sin too great, no heart too hard, that the blood of Jesus cannot cleanse and restore. Turn to Him today, and let Him show you the depth of His love.
