God intervine
We join with you in lifting up this dear sister and her household before our Heavenly Father and we agree with you in asking for His divine intervention and protection as He sees fit according to His perfect will and wisdom.
We understand the deep longing to have every source of struggle and hardship permanently removed and to see every evil intent brought to nothing. While we pray for deliverance, we also remember that God in His sovereignty does not always remove every trial immediately, but He promises to be with us through them and to use all things for our good and His glory. We are reminded that in all things God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose in Romans 8:28 and that we can count it all joy when we fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance in James 1:2-3.
We pray for God's mighty hand of protection over her and her household. We ask that He would surround them with His presence and keep them safe from every scheme of the enemy. The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them in Psalm 34:7 and He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11. We pray that the Lord will be faithful to guard her from the evil one as promised in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 and that every wicked plan formed against her would stumble and fall, for when evildoers came at us to eat up our flesh, even our adversaries and our foes, they stumbled and fell in Psalm 27:2.
We notice that this request mentions God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly come to God and ask for His help. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation in Romans 10:9-10.
So together we pray, Father in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our sister and everyone in her household to You. We ask that You intervene according to Your perfect will. Your cry for this household has been heard and we join you before the throne of grace to seek the Lord's own intervention as He in His wisdom sees fit.
We are reminded that troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. All your ills lie within the fence of omnipotent overruling, and that which comes by His permission bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand. It is hopeful to know that nothing concerning you or your household is outside His sacred zone of providential government, for in all that God does He acts from good reasons, to display His own perfections and to break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him.
We pray that He who casteth down the mighty from the seats of their pomp and lifteth up the poor from the dunghill would look upon this home in mercy. May He who said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom, speak that word of deliverance over you. That ransom is not found by man, but is the gift of Divine Love in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we are delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. Deliverance from the power of sin and from the assaults of the evil one is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.
We ask the Lord to cause every evil design and every wicked influence that would harm this household to stumble and fall, for He breaketh in pieces with His right hand everything arrogant and supercilious that dares to assert itself against Him. We pray that He would screen you from the noise of archers, from inward doubts and outward troubles, and above all from the plague of sin, and grant peace within your borders. If it be His will, may He permanently remove those sources of struggle which so burden you, and if He sees fit to continue some trial for your refining, may He give grace to bear it and to declare in the end, The Lord hath chastened me sorely, but He hath not given me over unto death.
Our prayer for this household is not only for outward safety, but for household salvation. May there be a whole household hearing the word, a whole household believing it, and a whole household rejoicing in Christ. Store your mind with His knowledge and His glory. Seek to know the Lord Jesus, who alone loosens the captive and brings forth His people out of the house of bondage by divine power. No sympathy or mere human help can do this work, it must be of free grace only, and He is gracious and able to save to the uttermost.
