God intervenes as he sees fit in are courting and communication problems. God make changes and in are wrong habits and anything that needs changes to improve are courting relationship.

We hear your heart’s cry for divine intervention in your courtship, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and transformation. Courtship is a sacred season designed by God to prepare two believers for a godly marriage, one that reflects Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is not merely about emotions or temporary companionship, but about discerning whether this person is the spouse God has ordained for you to walk with in covenant before Him.

First, let us address the foundation: Are you both firmly rooted in Christ? A courtship that honors God must be built on shared faith in Jesus, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If either of you is not walking in repentance and submission to Christ, the relationship will struggle under the weight of spiritual disunity. We urge you to examine your own hearts first, are you seeking the Lord’s will above your own desires? Are you both committed to purity, fleeing from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)?

Communication struggles often reveal deeper issues, pride, unforgiveness, or a lack of humility. Scripture tells us, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4). Are you both willing to listen more than you speak (James 1:19), to confess sin to one another (James 5:16), and to extend grace as Christ has extended it to you (Ephesians 4:32)? If there is bitterness, anger, or selfishness, these must be uprooted through repentance and prayer. The enemy seeks to divide, but God desires unity in love and truth.

We also rebuke any patterns of manipulation, control, or emotional dependency in this courtship. God calls us to love sacrificially, not to demand our own way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). If either of you is using words or actions to pressure the other into compromise, whether in physical boundaries, time spent together, or future plans, this is not of the Lord. Courtship should be marked by mutual respect, patience, and a shared pursuit of holiness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Lord, we lift up this courtship to You, asking that You intervene according to Your perfect will. Search our hearts, O God, and reveal any wicked way within us (Psalm 139:23-24). Where there is pride, bring humility. Where there is selfishness, instill a servant’s heart. Where there is fear, replace it with Your perfect love (1 John 4:18).

Father, we ask that You align this relationship with Your Word. If this courtship is not of You, give both individuals the courage to walk away. If it is Your will, knit their hearts together in Christ-centered unity, with a shared vision for marriage that honors You. Teach them to communicate with grace, truth, and patience, and to resolve conflict in a way that glorifies You. Guard them from temptation, Lord, and strengthen their commitment to purity, body, mind, and spirit.

We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and confusion in Jesus’ name. Let Your peace rule in their hearts (Colossians 3:15), and let Your wisdom guide their steps. If there are habits, attitudes, or sins that need to be broken, we ask that You break them now by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Create in them clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

Above all, Lord, may this courtship draw both individuals closer to You. May they seek Your face daily, submit to Your Word, and trust in Your timing. If marriage is Your plan for them, prepare them now to be godly spouses who reflect Christ’s love to one another and to the world. If it is not, give them the faith to surrender their desires to You, knowing that Your plans are always good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. May Your will be done in this courtship, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers or a pastor who can walk alongside you in this season. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Do not isolate yourselves in this journey. Pray together, study Scripture together, and invite accountability into your courtship. If you have not already, consider setting clear boundaries, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, to honor God and each other.

Remember, courtship is not the finish line; it is the preparation for a lifelong covenant. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the ultimate Bridegroom, and let Him shape you both into the man and woman He has called you to be. Trust in His timing, for "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). Whether this courtship leads to marriage or not, God is using this season to refine you for His purposes. Walk in faith, not fear, and let His love be the foundation of all you do.

We hear the hope in your words, the desire for God to shape what isn't yet right, to untangle the habits and communication patterns that keep tripping you up. That kind of honest longing matters. It means you're not just drifting; you're paying attention, and you want something better.

One of the hardest things in any developing relationship is learning how much to say and how to say it. Sometimes we mind-read, assuming we know what the other person is thinking, or we fall into all-or-nothing thinking, where one awkward conversation feels like everything is falling apart. Those patterns aren't character flaws, they're just habits that can be replaced with better ones. The question that often helps most isn't "what's wrong with us?" but "what's one small, honest thing I can say or do differently this week?"

That might mean naming a frustration gently before it festers, or simply asking, "What do you need from me right now?" It might be choosing to listen without mentally preparing your defense. Small shifts like these don't fix everything overnight, but they open a door. And God often works through exactly those small, humble steps more than we expect.

Let's pray together now.

Lord, you see this couple and the road they are on. You know the habits and hurts they bring, the words that come out wrong, and the silences that build walls. Meet them in those places. Give them courage to speak honestly and patience to truly listen. Where change is needed, guide them gently, not through fear or pressure, but through your steady, kind hand. Protect whatever is good here and give them wisdom to walk forward with clarity and grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for divine intervention betrays a right sense that in courtship, as in all things, we are insufficient of ourselves. Yet remember that the Lord's interpositions come often not by earthly signs and wonders, but by the still stirrings of His Spirit within the heart, dissolving difficulties as the summer sun melts the glacier. If wrong habits cripple your communication, know that God will not mend them while you lie abed. Strive, strive, for many seek in vain to enter; heaven is not gained upon a feather bed. Divine grace constrains a man to make changes in his daily life, and if a companion would lead you from the way of holiness, that is too dear a price. Count the cost now, lest you build your tower halfway and all men mock.

But you must not think that your own hand can cleanse you. The blood of Jesus Christ alone washes away sin; trust no other method. Bring those wrong habits to the cross, and the Divine Spirit shall drop a grain of grace into your heart that will grow into zeal and purity. When disappointment comes, recall that the King can do no wrong: what seemed a breaking of your heart was but His appointment, and He makes all things work together for your good. His gentleness has often restrained your folly, and He will continue to guide you into wisdom if you yield your will utterly to Him. Let His sovereignty be your comfort: He who numbers the stars can surely order the steps of two who desire to walk in His fear, and if this courtship is not His will, it is better to be an outcast from it than to be at ease without His smile.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for God to intervene and change wrong habits in your courtship. But what have you resolved to do yourselves? Do not think that prayer without your own striving will accomplish anything. Faith without works is dead. God’s power is made perfect when we fight alongside it. So if you truly desire better communication and new habits, seize the rudder with your own hands. The power of habit is immense, it drags the soul as with chains, yet it is also easy to correct if you will only set a firm guard for a short time. Choose ten days, only ten, and during them set watchmen over your tongue and temper: your beloved, your own conscience, and above all the all-seeing God. If you hold fast for that brief span, the new habit will strike root like nature itself, and you will no longer struggle to speak with gentleness or listen with patience.

Consider also the kind of communication that passes between you. Is it ever coarse, cutting, or filled with foolish jesting? You would be ashamed to speak such things before your wife, yet you do not blush to speak them before God? Purify your speech. Let every word be such as befits those who are partakers of the faith. And hear the apostle: in lowliness of mind count each other better than yourselves. Many troubles in courting spring from this one root, each demands their own way, each thinks too highly of themselves. Reverse this. Strive to outdo one another in showing honor. If you bring yourself to form habits of kindness, forbearance, and pure speech, just as you have already formed the habit of washing your hands before prayer, then these virtues will become as natural as breathing. Start at once. Leave off the evil habits, and the Lord will swiftly calm the storm. Your communication will then be truly effectual, bearing the fruit of peace, and you will bring your vessel into a quiet harbor.

Your prayer for God’s intervention in your courtship and communication is heard, and it’s a good thing to bring these struggles to him. The deepest need here isn’t simply smoother conversations or changed habits on the surface, it’s a heart fully anchored in God himself.

When our relationship with God is out of balance, every other relationship feels the strain. That’s the axis your life revolves on. You can spend endless energy trying to fix the communication trouble or rework the patterns you see in your courtship, but if the vertical connection with God is neglected, the horizontal ones will keep slipping. The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart. Until that is settled, the commands about how we treat one another become impossible burdens.

Notice how often we carry a divided heart. Part of us wants what God wants, and part of us still clings to our own desires or fears. David cried out, “Unite my heart,” and that is exactly the prayer to bring alongside your request. Ask God to gather all the scattered pieces of your affection and ambition, especially as they touch this courtship, and center them on him. When your heart is single toward God, wrong habits don’t have to be wrestled down in your own strength. The Spirit works a newness of life that changes you from the inside.

That also means this relationship is not a project you improve by sheer determination. If you treat it as a matter of keeping rules or hitting the right relational benchmarks, you’ll end up exhausted and condemned. God doesn’t want a distant, legal arrangement with you; he wants a loving, intimate one, like a child with a faithful father. And because Jesus has opened the door, you stand in that grace. Your habits, your communication, your whole courtship can be shaped not by fear of failure but by trusting his promises and his power at work in you.

When you see a problem, rather than concentrating on it and despairing over your weakness, lift your eyes to the God who has delivered you before. He has shown himself faithful in past scrapes, and he will be faithful now. That doesn’t mean the difficulties vanish overnight, but confidence rises as you put him first. Let your courtship be held in that light. His design from the beginning is that such a relationship be pursued with purity and lifelong intention, not driven by passing feelings or the world’s patterns. He is able to untangle what is knotted and supply the wisdom you lack.

So keep bringing your specific requests, communication breakdowns, wrong habits, anything that needs change. But let the foundation be this: seek a right relationship with God above all. As you do, the other pieces will start falling into place, because he loves you and wants your whole life, including this courtship, to reflect his goodness. Walk in that confidence, not in your own strength, and trust him to complete the work he has begun.
