We hear the raw, aching cry of your heart, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your weariness and frustration. You are not alone in this place of exhaustion—our Savior Himself knows what it is to feel forsaken, to carry burdens that seem too heavy, and to plead with the Father in the depths of human pain. In Matthew 26:38-39, Jesus said to His disciples, *"My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me."* Then He went a little farther and fell on His face, praying, *"My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire."* Even Jesus, in His darkest hour, surrendered to the Father’s will, trusting that His ways are higher than ours.
Your plea—*"Do something"*—echoes the longing of every believer who has walked through seasons of waiting. The silence of God can feel like abandonment, but Scripture assures us that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The testing you feel is not without purpose; James 1:2-4 tells us, *"Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."* This does not mean the pain is easy, but it does mean God is using it to shape you into the image of Christ, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).
We must gently but firmly rebuke the lie that God is testing you *again and again* to harm you or that He is distant in your suffering. The enemy would love for you to believe that God is indifferent, but the truth is that He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) and counts the hairs on your head (Luke 12:7). His delays are not denials; they are preparations. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when you cannot see it.
If you are struggling with sin in this season—perhaps bitterness, unbelief, or even despair—we urge you to confess it and repent. Cling to 1 John 1:9: *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Do not let the enemy use your pain as an excuse to harden your heart toward God. Instead, let it drive you deeper into His Word and His presence.
We also want to lovingly remind you that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not surrendered your life to Him, or if you are trying to navigate this pain without acknowledging His lordship, we implore you to turn to Him now. He is the only one who can truly change your heart and your situation.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary and worn. Lord, You see the depths of their pain, the weight of their waiting, and the exhaustion of their soul. We ask that You would meet them in this place, not with empty platitudes, but with the tangible presence of Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), the God who hears (Psalm 18:6), and the God who acts on behalf of those who wait for You (Isaiah 64:4).
Father, if there is sin that has taken root in their heart—whether it be doubt, anger, or unbelief—we ask that You would reveal it and lead them to repentance. Soften their heart to receive Your correction and Your comfort. Replace their weariness with Your strength (Isaiah 40:31) and their tears with songs of deliverance (Psalm 30:5). If their situation needs to change, we ask that You move mightily on their behalf. If their heart needs to change, we ask that You do the deep work of transformation by the power of Your Word and Your Spirit.
Lord, we declare that this season is not without purpose. You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that You are working even now for their good and Your glory. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to rest in the promise that those who seek You will not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:10).
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Amen.
In this time of waiting, we encourage you to press into the disciplines of the faith: prayer, reading Scripture, worship, and fellowship with other believers. Psalm 42:5 asks, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise Him for the saving help of His presence."* Even when you do not feel like it, choose to praise Him. The act of worship is a weapon against the enemy’s lies and a declaration that God is still on His throne.
You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the One who gave His life for you. Hold on, dear one. The breakthrough is coming.
