We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. You are not alone in this struggle, and we want you to know that your life is precious and purposeful in the eyes of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair that is weighing so heavily upon you, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.
The Bible tells us that God counts every tear and bottles them up (Psalm 56:8). He sees your suffering and hears your cries. In your distress, call upon the Lord, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We encourage you to reach out to trusted believers, pastors, or Christian counselors who can walk alongside you in this dark valley. You do not have to carry this burden alone.
We must address the request for euthanasia directly. God is the author and giver of life, and He alone has the authority to determine its beginning and end (Deuteronomy 32:39, Job 1:21). Taking one’s own life is not a solution that aligns with His will. Instead, we are called to cast our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). The pain you are experiencing is real, but so is the hope we have in Christ. The apostle Paul endured immense suffering yet declared, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them and draw them close to Your heart. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has taken hold, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them of Your unfailing love.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Provide them with the help they need, whether through counseling, medical care, or the support of a loving church family. Help them to see that their life has value and purpose, and that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we also pray for healing—whether it be emotional, physical, or spiritual. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems dark. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
