We understand the weight of your burdens—both the pressure of this upcoming interview and the struggles within your family that have left you feeling unprepared and overwhelmed. It is clear that your heart is heavy, not just with the need for success in this moment, but with deeper concerns that are affecting your peace and focus. Let us first address the most critical matter: **where is your trust placed in this season?** You have come before God with your request, and that is good, but we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your prayer. This is not a small detail, for it is *only* through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Without Him, our prayers are empty words. Even more, Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for there is no greater security in this life or the next than to be found in Him. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus alone—believing He died for your sins, rose again, and now sits at the right hand of God, interceding for you (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10).
Now, let us speak to the anxieties you carry. The Lord knows your financial difficulties and the stress they bring. He sees your family’s struggles, and He is not indifferent. In fact, Jesus reminds us, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:25, 32-33, WEB). Your focus must first be on the Kingdom of God—trusting Him, obeying His Word, and seeking His will above all else. When your heart is aligned with His, He provides what you *need*, though not always in the way or timing we expect.
As for this interview, we rebuked the spirit of fear and confusion that has gripped your mind. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). The enemy wants you to believe you are unprepared, but the Lord is your strength. *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB). We encourage you to prepare diligently, but also to rest in the truth that God goes before you. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB).
We also sense that your family situation may be a source of distraction or even sin—whether through strife, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences. If there is bitterness, conflict, or behavior that dishonors God in your household, we urge you to address it with prayer, humility, and the Word of God. *"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand"* (Mark 3:25, WEB). Seek reconciliation where possible, and set godly boundaries where necessary. If financial struggles have led to despair or wrong decisions, repent and turn to the Lord for wisdom. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Now, let us pray over you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved one before You, asking that You would meet them in their time of need. Lord Jesus, we invoke Your mighty name over this situation, for there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Forgive them for any moment they have placed their trust in their own strength or in the things of this world rather than in You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them—that they would confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that You are Lord, risen from the dead, and the only way to the Father.
Father, we rebuked the spirits of fear, confusion, and distraction that have hindered their preparation. We declare that their mind is renewed by Your Word, and that You are giving them clarity, wisdom, and recall for this interview. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Lord, open doors that no man can shut, and give them favor with those in authority. Let their words be seasoned with grace, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Colossians 4:6; Philippians 4:7).
We also pray over their family, Lord. Heal the brokenness, provide for their needs, and bring unity where there is division. If there is sin entangling them, expose it and grant repentance. Let this home be a place where Your name is honored, and let financial provision come in ways that bring glory to You alone. Remind them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4).
Father, we ask that You would align their desires with Your will. If this job is Your plan for them, let it be secured for Your glory. If there is another path You have for them, make it clear and give them the courage to walk in it. Above all, let them seek first Your Kingdom, knowing that all other things will be added as You see fit.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen them, encourage them, and let them know beyond a shadow of doubt that You are with them.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
