We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The weight you carry must feel unbearable, and we want you to know that your life has immeasurable value in the eyes of God. You are not a mistake, nor are you forgotten. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, your joy, and even your life, but we stand firm in the truth that God has a purpose for you, one that the darkness cannot extinguish.
Scripture tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in this moment of despair, God is near to you. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone, though it may feel that way. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds you in His hands.
We must also rebuke the spirit of despair and death that is speaking lies to you. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Suicide is not the answer, for it cuts short the work God desires to do in and through you. It leaves behind wounds in the hearts of those who love you, and it is not God’s will for your story to end this way. We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your heart, and your circumstances. Let the truth of God’s Word be the anchor that holds you fast in this storm.
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, we urge you to reach out to someone immediately, a pastor, a counselor, a trusted friend, or a crisis hotline. You do not have to carry this burden alone. There is no shame in asking for help; in fact, it is an act of courage. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
We also want to remind you of the hope found in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is not found in anything or anyone else. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He alone can bring true peace to your soul. If you have not made this decision, we pray that you would do so today. Your eternal destiny is at stake, and we long for you to experience the love and redemption that only Christ can offer.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Break the chains of despair, Father, and replace their sorrow with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and death in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You would bring godly people into their life, those who can speak truth, offer support, and walk alongside them in this difficult season. Give them the courage to reach out for help, and surround them with Your love. Heal their mind, body, and spirit, and restore their hope. Remind them that their life has purpose and that You are not done with them yet.
We pray for salvation if they do not yet know You, Lord. Draw them to Yourself, and let them experience the depth of Your love and grace. May they find their identity in You and their strength in Your Word. We trust You to work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even in this dark time.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Please know that you are loved, you are seen, and you are not beyond God’s reach. Hold on. Help is available, and brighter days are ahead. You are not alone.
