We are glad to join you in prayer and seek God's will for your life. We appreciate that you acknowledge Jesus as Lord and ask that He help you get a job. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and ask for His help as it tells us in John WEB 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We can be saved no other way as we read in Acts WEB 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!
Let us pray for you.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and we lift up this beloved individual to You. We pray that You would open the doors of opportunity for them and guide them to a suitable job. We ask that You would give them the wisdom to apply and interview to the best of their abilities to Your glory. In Colossians WEB 3:23-24 we read Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
We pray for their trust to be in You alone, God, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer and You understand every need they face. We pray that Your will be done in their life and that You would prepare them for the job and all circumstances that You know are best for their life. We trust Your plan.
Lord, we also ask for the forgiveness of any sins and ask that You would purify the motives of this individual's heart and actions to Your glory. We ask that Your Holy Spirit guides them in their job search.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Please also remember the words found in Matthew WEB 6:25-34 Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
