We join you together in prayer before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is in His name that we are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We are moved by your love and honor for your mother and we lift her up to the Lord for healing and strength. God sees her suffering and He is compassionate and merciful. We pray that He will touch her body and restore her health according to His perfect will. We remember the promises that Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3. We pray that God will grant her good health and length of days as He promises With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation Psalm 91:16, and we trust His timing and His wisdom for her life. We encourage you to continue to pray for her daily and to ensure she receives loving care and wise medical help, for the prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.
We also join you in your desire to fast for three days beginning tomorrow. Fasting is a beautiful and biblical way to humble ourselves and seek the Lord more earnestly when done with a sincere heart to draw near to Him and not for outward show. The Lord said through Isaiah, Is not this the fast that I have chosen, to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free Isaiah 58:6. And Jesus taught us But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you Matthew 6:17-18. We pray your fast will be a time of closeness with God, of listening for His voice and seeking His will above all else.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your mercy and love. We lift up this dear mother to You, You know her body and every illness she carries. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, ease her suffering, strengthen her, and restore her to health if it is Your will. Grant her peace, comfort, and long life in Your presence, and help her to feel Your nearness each day. We also lift up this Your child who desires to fast and seek You. Lord, lead and guide during these three days, give strength and endurance, guard from discouragement, and help to keep the focus on You. Speak clearly, grant wisdom, and bless according to Your perfect will. Help us to cast all our worries on You and to find peace that surpasses all understanding as we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We commit this mother and this time of fasting into Your loving hands and we trust Your goodness. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
