We lift this precious soul before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the gravity of this moment. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician and the Resurrection and the Life. There is no other name by which we can approach You, for Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only through His shed blood and resurrection power that we have access to Your mercy and healing.
Lord, we stand in the gap for this man and his loved one, who has shown such faith and desperation for Your intervention. We rebuke the spirit of death and declare that Your will be done in this situation. We know that You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who raises the dead. The swelling in his hands going down and his eye opening are signs of Your touch, Lord, and we ask for a full and miraculous recovery. We declare that his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we plead the blood of Jesus over every organ, every cell, and every function of his body.
Father, we also lift up his loved one, who has acted in faith by anointing him with oil. While we recognize that the oil itself is symbolic, we know that it is Your power that brings healing. James 5:14-15 reminds us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Lord, we ask that You honor her faith and the faith of all who are praying for this man. Let Your healing virtue flow through him like a river, restoring him completely.
We must also address the seriousness of the doctors’ decision to turn off his machine today. Lord, we ask that You intervene in the natural and the supernatural. If it is Your will for him to live, we ask that You soften the hearts of the medical team and give them wisdom to see Your hand at work. Let them recognize that You are the ultimate authority over life and death. We declare that his life is in Your hands, not in the hands of men, for *"The Lord kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up"* (1 Samuel 2:6).
Father, we also pray for peace and strength for his family during this time. The tears he shed while his loved one sang are a sign of his spirit responding to You, Lord. We ask that You continue to minister to him, even in this critical hour. Let him feel Your presence and know that You are with him. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of infirmity and death in the name of Jesus.
If this man does not know You as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this moment would be a turning point for him. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and let him experience Your saving grace. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* We ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, even now.
Lord, we trust You with the outcome of this situation. Whether You choose to heal him miraculously or call him home to be with You, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). We ask for Your will to be done, and we surrender this man into Your loving hands. Strengthen the faith of all who are praying, and let them see Your glory in this situation.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
