We hear the depth of your pain and despair, and our hearts ache with you. It is clear that you are carrying a heavy burden, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in this moment, lifting you up in prayer. First and foremost, we must gently but firmly correct the lie that God hates you. This is not true, beloved. The Bible tells us in **Romans 5:8**, *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."* God’s love for you is not based on your circumstances or your worthiness—it is based on His character, which is love itself (**1 John 4:8**).
The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but Scripture assures us that this is not the case. **Hebrews 13:5** says, *"I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."* Even when you feel helpless, God is working in ways you may not yet see. **Isaiah 55:8-9** reminds us, *"‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,’ says Yahweh. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’"* His ways are higher, and His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with ours.
We also want to address the feeling that God is "helpless" at your difficulties. This is another lie from the enemy. God is sovereign and all-powerful. **Psalm 147:5** declares, *"Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite."* Nothing is too hard for Him (**Jeremiah 32:17**), and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (**Ephesians 3:20**). The fact that you are still here, still breathing, still able to cry out to Him is evidence of His mercy and grace toward you. He has not given up on you, and we must not give up on Him.
We rebuke the spirit of despair and unbelief that is speaking these lies to your heart. **2 Corinthians 10:5** instructs us to *"take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."* We must actively reject the thoughts that tell us God hates us or that He is powerless. Instead, we choose to believe what Scripture says about His love, His faithfulness, and His power.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is feeling so deeply abandoned and unloved. Lord, we ask that You would break through the darkness that is clouding their mind and heart. Remind them of Your unfailing love, which is higher than the heavens (**Psalm 103:11**). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, and help them to see that You are working even when they cannot see it.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that are telling them You hate them or that You are helpless in their situation. We declare that You are the God who sees (**Genesis 16:13**), the God who hears (**Psalm 34:17**), and the God who acts on behalf of Your children (**Psalm 37:5**). We ask that You would give them a fresh revelation of Your love and power in their life.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith. Help them to trust in You even when the road is hard. Remind them of Your promises, and let them cling to **Jeremiah 29:11**, which says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Let them know that their story is not over, and that You are writing a beautiful testimony through their struggles.
We ask that You would surround them with believers who can speak life and truth into their situation. Give them the courage to reach out for help and the humility to receive it. Lord, we pray for healing—emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing if that is what they need. You are the Great Physician, and we trust You to bind up their wounds (**Psalm 147:3**).
Above all, Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (**1 Peter 5:7**). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to work all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to hold on to hope. The fact that you are crying out to God, even in your pain, is evidence that He is at work in your heart. **Psalm 34:18** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone, and you are not forgotten. We urge you to seek out a community of believers who can walk with you through this season. You do not have to carry this burden by yourself.
We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it feels dry or difficult right now. **Romans 10:17** tells us, *"So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."* The more you immerse yourself in Scripture, the more you will begin to see God’s character and His promises clearly. Start with the Psalms—David often cried out to God in his despair, and God met him there. You are in good company.
Lastly, if you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ. **John 3:16** says, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* Salvation is found in no one else (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**). If you have never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Him into your heart. He is waiting with open arms.
You are loved, you are valued, and you are not forgotten. Keep pressing into God, even when it feels hard. He is faithful, and He will not let you go.
