AMOS 8:11
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
People there is not a famine of the word but a famine in hearing and believing the word.
I see people leaning to what they feel and their own understanding and not holding to God's written word. God has caused this because men's hearts have hardened toward Him and the truth. Have you noticed all the people even on here that are throwing in the towel. Look at verse 12, it says they were wandering to and fro to seek the word, and shall not find it. WHY is this happening, Men will not tolerate truth because then they have to give account to their creator. What happens then? They begin to fill their lives with what they think or what so and so said. God's word has no place in them. There is an escape, get back in that Holy book and believe it, and repent and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to your hearts. When you do watch what happens to your troubled heart, peace will return to you.
